I'm not sure though how to create a story out of this.

Maybe not create a story out of it per se (though the LOTR idea is a good one) how about:

Partners stick a pin in the map for a night of lusts 'theme'?

Themed party nights? Guests come dressed as something from a country they draw straws for?

Charades type party game, stick pin in map whilst blindfolded, have to mime/enact result?

Story regarding the 'everyday life and times' of a particular country? Although I think we'd best overlook the 'Citadel of Chastity'!!!

erm erm erm... cant think of anymore at the moment!

From my point of view its perhaps more about looking at it and seeing a start point, rather than a full story, lets face it if a story had ALL THAT in it... its author would probably die before they finished writing it! - And readers might get 'distracted' before the end too!
