It looks like at least some time was spent in the "get-to-know-you" phase before the sexual encounter. That is a plus, and would put to rest most guys that age thoughts of your 'friend' being perceived as a slut.
It all boils down to whether, during the several all-nite talking sessions, he came across as sincere, honest, and was willing to share personal information about himself. If he was vague and withdrawn, I'd be apprehensive. I doubt that he has too much experience as a "player" being 18, but it seems that boys and girls "play" at an earlier age than when I was 18. I don't believe, even if he was/is a "player" that he could keep up the facade through the several nights that you, I mean you 'friend' lol! spent talking.
I would say, if your 'friends' gut feeling is he is on the level, run with it. Now by the same token, if he's seen "playing" where-ever it is 18 year old people go to meet and mingle, I'd be a little less likely to bed him again.
Regardless of how this goes, if your going to have sex, try to be as in touch with reality as you can (no drinking, drugs, etc). (God ! I sound like my parents!) Anything that you might use to alter your mental state will certainly affect your recollection of the encounter, and could affect his perception of your 'friend' too. A drunken girl is more likely to be seen as a slut, than a sober one
Above all if it isn't safe sex, it is just russian roulette, BE SAFE !
