Sex, love, and idealization

Sex and love are such a true forces in our lives that sometimes it is a wonder that we ever leave our beds.
And that force makes us want those which we can not have.
For example, I want Darcy, I want Willowby, I want Knightly. But none of these men exist, they were all born in an ink well.
What is it about idealization that makes most, if not all, of us become enraptured with those that do not exist?

Darcy, Willowby and Knightly all exist. They were born inside writer's minds, and became real there. So real, that they became real to you.

Care for a literary discussion? :D

They exist as ideas exist, as concepts and idealizations.

And I am always up for a literary discussion! :)
What's your topic of choice?

What are we, but who we think we are? We are all ideas, concepts as we see ourselves. No character is ever truly imaginary -- but is necessarily a part of the writer, and a projection of the unique perspective and beliefs of that writer.

My suggested topic is the ability to stimulate physical erotic reactions through the imagination and power of the typed or spoken word... :p

I agree that we are concepts as we see ourselves. Who we all believe we are may be very different from who we are perceived as. But there is a core within everyone that can not be altered no matter how much we try to change it or mask it. We are all individuals due to that core of our being.
All characters were formed through the inspiration of a muse. And the writer's words make that character real, in as much as a thought is real.

Words are the most powerful forces there are! Why else are we here?! Words can drench and arouse all of us, which is one of the nicest things about the human race. ;)
I had a thread awhile ago about philosorgasms, orgasming through words, concepts, and even ideas.
I like words :D

Thank you for the link to the previous thread. Philosorgasms is indeed a wonderful word, and quite appropriate for literotica.

I found following a different link to be even more interesting though. That being the story link in your profile. Where you let me see into your mind, and what you found erotic.

Rather different from many here. Not moving body parts. Not a forbidden or kinky fantasy. But creating a romantic atmosphere. Evoking passion, and how it comes from within, being rather than acting out kinky fantasies. A humorous and intelligent idealized partner, rather than a sex machine with a 12 inch cock.

Nice philosorgasmic mind. ;) I like what I read. And would recommend following your link for anyone who has not read your story.

I thank you very much.
I prefer humour and intelligence over inches every time.

Would you reject humor, inteeligence AND inches, though?

LOL

no, the inches would then be simply gravy as long as he used his intelligence and humour to work those inches well!
