Question
I have been keeping a sex diary for the last few months. Originally it was for the wife and I to look back on someday, but lately I've considered publishing it...there would be A LOT of entries, practically daily so I am not sure where the best place to post it would be...Is there a venue on this site that could accommodate this effectively without it being to overly intrusive and annoying?
Thanks

I would post it as a serial under Loving Wives (unless you're a fetish couple - then I'd choose the appropriate fetish community).

And I'd probably make weekly digests rather than posting daily.

It's a form of transcript, so it probably could go in Letters and Transcripts.

Loving Wives could work. It would be a nice change to see a "normal" married couple story there. I agree that you should keep it weekly instead of daily.

2 points which I would ask you to confirm before you start

  • Is your wife okay with your personal lives becoming the stroke fodder of the masses?
  • Do you intend to use your real names and/or specific details that could be traced back to you? (I would advice against it)

I'd say it belongs in Letters & Transcripts as it's not technically a story.

Having said that, have you considered embellishing each entry for public consumption? I mean I assume there's not a whole lot in there that would give a stranger much insight in to you and your wife's personalities, well maybe after reading multiple entries, but if you want people to keep reading you might find they need more to relate to earlier on. Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check out the Transcripts and Letters section to see what that is about. The Loving Wives category would fit lifestyle wise, but I agree it isn't really a story and wouldn't be that appealing to those devotees...as for the wife, this is basically her idea so I will consider that as approval. I will have to edit out a lot of names places identifying info etc in order to make it work. I know it will detract from the over all impact and make it feel less authentic, but it is a necessary restriction. Otherwise, I want to be as real and honest as possible. We prefer true and believable over crazy and improbable. This concept likely won't be too popular here.

now was this a sex diary with lined paper or was it a "spread" sheet? :)

Don't worry. There are audiences for everything on Literotica. Check out the story section, if you don't believe me. :)

Oh, it might take you a little longer to gather a large fan community compared to the straight porn-writers with their imaginary 12" cocks and nymphomaniac girls who can go all night and cook you pancakes in the morning. But eventually people into more realistic stuff will discover and appreciate what you publish.

I'd settle for fried eggs. They are easier to cook bowlegged.

If you could get a copy of the Lisa Diaries by Lisa Carver, (used on Amazon) that would be a good reference. She used to contribute her diary entries (pun intended) as a monthly column on Nerve dot com from 2002 to 2006. I suppose you might be able to find it on the interwebs somewhere if you knew where to look. Her skill as a writer is amazing. She's not just talking about sex acts, she's using humor and attitude to take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride, all while still maintaining the believability factor.
