Everyone, come in costume. Or cum in costume. No one will be forced to do anything that they don't wish. Whips and chains are welcome, but only with the consent of the whipped and chained.

Bring your own bottle, too.

And wear a mask.

My birthday being Halloween, I'm wearing a Devil outfit.

And drinking Scotch.

Steps in revealing her lavendar tipped wings. "Hmm. I think these qualify. Don't you?" She smirked

One of the maids brought her the envelope.

"Where did this come from?"

The maid shrugged her shouders, still holding out the gilded envelope. She took it, turning it over in her hands. Obviously an invitation of sorts. A finger slipped under the flap, opening it. She tugged out the parchment and read. A masked ball, by someone new in the neighborhood. The maid is dismissed and the edge of the invitation is tapped on the mistress of the mansion's chin thoughtfully.

"This might be fun."

She scribbled a quick note to M and went to look in her closet for something to wear.

The new house in the neighborhood was gorgeous. Faint music, the clinking of glasses, murmurs and soft laughter wafted from the house and touched her ears. She paused to glance down at herself. A strapped black lace gown that hugged and highlighted her breasts, dipping into a steep vee. The material floated down over her body, lovingly hugging her slender waist, draped over her rounded hips and just below the tops of her thighs, split off into another vee, revealing slim, well toned legs encased in complimentary black stockings. A pair of ruby red heels gaced her feet. Rubies cascaded from her ears and a solitary red tear drop rested in the valley of her breasts. Her darkly rich, thick red hair curled over one bared shoulder. The glittering red mask across her eyes highlighted her green mischievous eyes. The major-domo showed her to the ballroom. She gave hm a small smile and a slight inclination of her head. Accepting a glass of champagne from a passing waiter, she sipped it as her eyes took in the beauty of the room, wondering, who amongst the masked beautiful people, was her host.

Setting my Scotch down for a moment, I walk over to the newest arrival to greet her in full Devil costume. Pitchfork and all.

"Welcome to my Masque, my lovely guest," I tell her.

An unexpected masculine voice catches my attention as I turn toward it, a friendly smile on my lips. The champagne flute is transferred to my left hand as I hold out my right one.

"Thank you for the invitation."

His costume is droll but, he is my host and maybe, who knows, it might fit him well. Time would tell.

"You have a lovely home. Welcome to the neighborhood."

My glass is lifted in a slight salute before I take a sip.

The angel smirked as an old friend stepped in. Oh, DW wouldn't recognize the fallen angel outside her library, but the angel recognized her. Nodding her head in greeting she smiled knowingly at DW. "Good Evening."

Eyes skitter past my host and fall upon the angel as she spoke. Another friendly smile is given.

"A good evening to you as well, Angel."

Something tugs gently at my mind, as if I know her, but it soon slips off. Perhaps I do. Perhaps I do not. Such evenings have a way of playing with the mind, that is something that adds enchantment to the night.

The angel chuckled softly to herself. She had seen the moment of faint recognition in the other woman's face before it vanished. It was to easy toplay an innocent game of guess who with her for the angel to pass up thechance.
Nodding in the direction of their host she wandered closer, close enough that her scent of jasmine and old parchment could waft by DW. "We seem to both be in the habit of acquainting ourselves with demons and devils, dear Cait." Her eye brow arched as she gives her friend a hint as to her identity.

Glasses clink lightly at the rim before I take a sip of the champagne. The angel's words bring a smile to my face as I turn my eyes back to her. This time, the recognition is obvious.

"So we do, Angel. So we do. However, I don't know our host, not really. I just thought I should be a good neighbor and welcome him to the neighborhood. I'm glad to see you. It's been far too long."

Angel smiled and giggled before hugging Cait to her. "Indeed it has! I've only just met him myself," she smiled at their host and winked at him, "I crashed his masque. He doesn't yet know that these," she spread her wings wide and flapped them once, "are rather attatched. Though i suppose he does now."

Eyes widening like saucers, I'm a bit turned-on by the idea of a winged creature in my Masque. Is she angel or demon? Either way, she would be interesting. I have my manservant bring her a tray of food to see what she does about it. Sliders, in fact.

More sliders are sent to the other one, too.

Angel laughed as she saw their hosts eyes widen at the flexing of her wings. It was always thrilling to see the reactions she got. She reached out and touched his arm gently, "I am a fallen angel, Sir. My name is Illiana. Please forgive my ruse? I have been away for some time and was shy about turning up on the doorstep of my friends. Your ball looked inviting."

Suddenly there was a tray of sliders being presented to her. Her eyes lit up. "Oooh, sliders! Yum!," she exclaimed as she took one with a smile to the servant.

I gave Illi a snug warm hug and kissed her cheek. The sliders came and holding up a hand, turning them away with a slight shake of my head. I wasn't hungry yet. I murmured softly my excuses and slipped away, leaving the angel to chat with the devil. I wanted to explore my surroundings. He had some fabulous paintings on his walls.

"It's an honor to meet the real thing, Iliana. We humans can only imitate. Please, enjoy the sliders. I normally tell people to bring their own bottle, but for you, I can have the help serve you. To your distinguished master," I toast the Prince of Darkness.

"There's nothing to forgive," I smile at Illiana.

The Pre-Raphaelite collection seemed to pay off. I've always been fond of the Renaissance and its sophisticated culture. Especially nudes from the various Italian masters.

I watch DW with fascination. It was always nice to have my taste in art appreciated. I just wish that I could paint that well myself. If I could, I would love two fallen angels as models.

She smiled and blushed as he toasted Lucifer. "I am not under the control of the one whose's guise you wear. I have simply fallen from grace, having been corrupted bythe influence of a succubus. The almighty cast me out and took my golden halo, but left me my immortality and wings. Please do not put your servants to any trouble for me, Sir."

"There is no trouble. My servants are happy to serve me. There are plenty of fringe benefits for them. Besides, I appreciate your company. I still consider it an honor. The Almighty is a toast-worthy master, too, of course. I respect power, you see. God and the Devil both possess it. Since I was born on Halloween, however, the Devil costume made more logical sense to me. Mi casa es su casa," I wink at her. I've always been a bit forward, yet reserved in some ways. It's the Scorpio within.

She chuckled softly. "The devil is indeed a common icon on this night, though a wholly mismatched one, in my opinion. And around here a girl such as myself learns not to inquire about fringe benefits lest she find herself at the mercy of those benefits"

"Oh, I wouldn't dream of imposing any such thing without your permission. That would be ill-mannered of me. You are a guest here. No one crashes. If properly attired, all are welcome. If the costume bothers you, I can change into something more suitable," I smile, leave the room, and change into my other outfit.

I return as Zorro, whip, mask, and all.

She smiled and arched a brow at him as he reassured her. "Who ever said anything about impositions? Perhaps I would like it."

She shook her head as he returned in Zorro costume and smiled "the devil was fine with me. Very little bothers or offends me. Though i do have to say i think Zorro comes with much better toys." One delicate finger slid along the whip before she abruptly changed the subject.

"I've been following a couple of your threads... they seem intriguingly similar to my own tastes."
