I have always loved the classic fairy tale. Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid. So I started to play with the idea of a slant on Snow White. My idea is a role reversal where the dwarfs are women of high rank. And Snow White is a man, thinking along the lines of John Snow,

I am very much in the planning stage of the story and my vision is that The male snow is used and abused by all of the women, however falls in love with the mother.

So I set out the profiles of the women and here they are, loosely based on real people, but I am not sure what to do next.

Any input would be welcome.

Once upon a time deep in the Białowieża Forest there was a castle. In the castle lived Duke Casimir and his loverly wife the Duchess Agnieszka of Białowieża.
Agnieszka was beautiful and she was loved by all the people of the realm.

Between them they had seven daughters two sets of twins and one set of triplets there was to be a son but this child died shortly after the child’s birth and the duchess was unable to conceive again, after this unfortunate event.

Rumours soon spread around the realm that the midwife was a witch and she had caused the death of the child. She was hounded by the people of Białowieża. No longer being able to help bring life and joy into people’s life’s she fled deep into the forests of Białowieża where she became warped and twisted by the torments of her mind, gradually becoming the witch that she was once accused of being.

The princesses grew to becoming beautiful young lady’s, but each of them had very different characteristic. The oldest, by thirty minutes, was Karolina was a fighter she had the nickname of Grumpy as she was always in trouble and getting into fights mostly with boys who tried to take advantage. She was beautiful 160cm tall with a slender body and light brown hair that glowed in the sunlight. Just a glance from her blue/grey eyes turned men to jelly but her temper always kept them at arms length. Alexia was the second oldest, she also was slender in build and was slightly taller than Karolina at 165cm with jet black hair that gave her a look of coldness, however her heart was warm and loving very much like her mother. Alexia was troubled by her looks, her dark brown eyes looked like deep pools of water and her unblemished skin enticed boys to her side. Alexia was a loving person and was giving she always was the first to help anyone and was studying medicine in the hope she could always have the knowledge to heal people, most people thought this is why her the nickname was Doc, but the name came really from all the time when she nursed sick animals back to life when she was younger and the name stuck.

The second pair were Diane and Elaine. Both 160cm tall and were identical with blue eyes and blonde hair that glimmered in the sunlight or in the rain they were both stunning looking they grew up in the shadow of there older siblings but they had their own power with there stunning looks they made there own way in the world becoming actors though some of the movies did bring shame on themselves. They had endless stream of suitors and would often share lovers so there experiences were entwined. All in all Diane and Elaine were the black sheep of the family but the people of Białowieża loved them but there conduct gave them the nicknames of Happy and Sleazy but they didn’t care.

The triplets were the youngest they were always teased and bullied by there older sisters but they grew up to be caring and loving. Sleepy, Dopey and Bashful were there nicknames Alexandra Monica and Izabela were there real names there long blonde hair and brown eyes made them the most beautiful of the family and the older siblings were always jealous of the triplets.
While growing up the triplets were always together and protected each other, there love of music led them to form a band and performs all over the world with there quirky style.

It was Agnieszka’s 44th birthday and a grand party was planned.

Whose story is this? Who is the main character? From the first few paragraphs I assumed it would be the "Jon Snow" character or the queen, but we don't know much about either.

In your description you describe the Jon Snow character as being used and abused by "the women" but some of the sisters you describe don't sound like abusers. What does the mother do that makes him want her? That's the main story isn't it?

Snow White is generally driven by the Queen's obsessive jealousy of Snow White, but it sounds like that element is missing.

Your reconstruction of the dwarves as princesses is interesting, but the main thing needed is deciding who are the main characters and what is their story.

Good Question

My guess as it develops it will be the queens and Jon Snow but to start I guess it is going to be the daughters and what they get up to at the queens birthday party?

Just be very careful with this story line.

Laurel isn't overly fond of stories involving miners.:D

I'll show myself out

The problem with making the daughters the focus is that seven is too many. Your story will be more effective (and, I think, more erotic) if you tighten the focus. Pick one character who will be your major character, then think about the scenario you've created (which is interesting -- go with it), and figure out what THAT character's story is within this scenario. It could be the Queen, or Jon Snow, or one of the daughters.

For example:

Queen's POV: She's proud of her daughters but a bit jealous of them. she's aging and they're getting more attention. So she schemes to beat them and win the horny but innocent young Jon Snow for herself, and she wins.

Or, another twist on this: Mom genuinely wants one of her daughters to win Jon Snow's hand, but he's so smitten by her and he's so handsome she can't resist him, and eventually gets him herself.

Jon Snow: He's tempted by all the nubile sexy daughters, but there's something about the mother/Queen he can't resist. Maybe issues from his childhood. Ultimately he cannot resist the older woman's charms.

Daughter: One of the daughters is more innocent than the others, and she's reluctant to play their sexy game of seduction with Jon Snow. But she likes him so much she gets drawn into the sexy play and eventually outwits them and gets him for herself, and they live happily ever after.

The daughters could each represent a different virtue, and one daughter represents the greatest virtue and wins Jon Snow. Explain how her virtue defeats the others.

Thx Simon

Yes I see your point. Jon Snow is the ideal main character with a bit of input from the queens POV. Jealous mother. All good ideas.
