No doubt most of you consider the BDSM lifestyle to be serious business, but is there a place for humour in a Dom/sub relationship?

From an interested onlooker;)

Always. We have many humourous moments and laughter. Heck I am even so bad I break into laughter often when he is flogging me with all his might....bit disturbing that one for both of us, but life is good.

Oh what would the point be if it were not fun? I cannot imagine someone that doesn't make me laugh and that I cannot make laugh...

Periodically I do some amateur standup comedy. I have written and rehearsed a bit about a blundering/incompetent Dom but have not had a proper occasion to use it publicly.

I forget which comedian said it but women do not like funny men. They want the men they already like to be funny.

So humor definitely has a place, but you must first possess a serious side so the submissive can accept you as their dom/me.

To some extent this is true... but laughter bonds people.

i'd say, i like a guy that can make me smile, that is funny, but not constantly. its more important that he know when to take me seriously and when to make me take myself less seriously. and that he can laugh at himself. but if he were constantly a clown.. my face starts to hurt from all the laughing... i wonder if that would improve my endurance elsewhere...hmm

(by the way... does anything special happen when i hit 1000 posts? like balloons falling out of the sky?)

What's funny is that it doesn't change from "Literotica Guru" until you change it to something else. It could be "Literotica Addict" or something instead. :)

Yes you can! LOL

And yes, just as often as you like.

The besr service M provides to me is the frequent belly laugh and the provocation to not take myself too seriously.

Humor has a big big part in our enjoyment of one another.
