I don't post here, at least not for years, but I needed to drop a fast rant. Everyone here knows "BDSM" has been used to mask stories of rape and abuse, and anything goes coupled with the faction of losers who try and say consent is no longer needed.

An author here who I won't name as much as I'd like to because up until this, we helped each other out a lot. He recently beta read a Hot wife e-book for me. In turn he sent me a segment of a story.

He titled the e-mail "My BDSM segment"

This is two paragraphs in

He poured several more glasses of scotch down Amy’s throat as well as his own as the evening progressed. He finally asked her for a blowjob. She told him she had no idea how to do that and wasn’t going to do it.

Two seconds later, she was lying on the floor with fat lip leaking blood as Keenan backhanded her. He grabbed her hair and tried to stuff his cock into her mouth, and when she refused, he slapped her face several times until she opened up, and he shoved his cock in.

Are you fucking kidding me? He seriously thinks this falls under BDSM? Even most non con authors don't write shit like this.

I told him write whatever shit he wants, its a free country, but FFS stop calling using a woman for a punching bag BDSM. I'm so pissed off, well more a mix of wishing I could smack him around, sheer disgust, and frustration because I know this is becoming more and more common. I stopped even trying to find good stories in the BDSM category here because its become a minefield of abuse and rape posted there to not get the NC stigma and for any mot familiar with the pay market? Its worse there.

Rant over, just needed to say this to someone somewhere.

I hate this kind of crap with every fiber of my being.

BDSM does not equal abuse and misogyny. Period. I try to be open minded and not kink-shame, but boy...that kind of thing really does not do it for me, and I think I speak on behalf of the majority of BDSM practitioners- dominant and submissive. It's like, some people just don't "Get" what it's really about.

after this having been in the back of my head since my last post i'd like to ask Y/you something  would Y/you rant as much if it had been written by a woman instead of a man? would 50 shades have been the same success if a man had written it?

If a woman wrote it, I might not be as angry, because she's not the 'abuser' in the story, if that makes sense?

To explain my opinion, if a woman writes a flat out rape story she is writing as the victim and as someone who has the fantasy, its rape porn rape fantasy, something she sees as hot, but would never want it.

A man writes a flat out rape story its as the rapist, because he's capable of the act so its all from the angle of the fantasy being hurting someone, its a totally different mindset.

Part of my anger towards a man doing is it driven by that initial thought I want to find him and do it to him, I would never put my hands on a woman like that so my reaction would still be the same in this is not BDSM, its glorification of abuse and you're spreading dangerous disinformation portraying it as such, encouraging men to think they can do it, and women that hey, getting beaten like a dog is hot.

Fifty Shades? I hope were in the same page that's a manual of stalking and abuse, and not BDSM in anyway either. But even that didn't have that type of shit in it.

Considering the vast majority of people who read it were women, maybe a man could have sold it because unlike men, women don't feel "gay" if they read something erotic by a man...but if you're point is would the stalking abd abuse seem worse, yes for the reason described above.

James is a disgrace to women for putting that garbage out there-not for the material itself, write whatever you want-but to portray it as sexy and romantic  and smear a lifestyle that couldn't be further than from the truth, then further denigrate it by throwing mental illness into it as well.

So yeah, I'd still be pissed, but rather than my desire to get my hands on the idiot that sent him that and show him how sexy a bloody mouth is, I would tell this woman to go get therapy, and to stop thinking-and trying to influence others-that literally being beaten is BDSM or has any place in erotic material and less in the real world.

Sounds like a involuntary celibate with ED that hates women.

You described almost every "man" who reads in Lit's Loving wives section, go read the comments there, talk about incels and knuckledragging asshats, all screaming bravely from behind the keyboard from mom's basement.

They love Burn the bitch stories over there. If you aren't familiar with the term, its basically what it says it is, cheating wives get theirs and in horrific ways and not remotely sexual, or not consensual

Lit embraces these stories and sees no issue with what it encourages even though it has driven readers and authors from the category and some from the site.

Cute.

Wow, yeah that is 100% rape. I hate the mindsets that equate that with BDSM. They do not understand the trust and communication and CONSENT involved with BDSM at all. It’s disgusting.

BDSM. The last frontier for men whose partner can't, or won't, give them what they want.

Hey, LC.

I do so agree that is not BDSM that is assault and not what we need here

Bloody hell. I haven't found anything too bad consent-wise on the BSDM section here, mostly just too many implausible fantasies about wealthy men with huge homes and many servants and women serving their every whim with no charactisation whatsoever. (the fantasy of wealth is what 50 Shades managed to evoke)

But there's been a spate of women getting murdered by their partners and the man claiming 'BDSM gone wrong' as a defence. At least the scum have been locked up for manslaughter in the last couple cases in the news.

And a man known for overstepping boundaries with women is now kicked out of his profession and under police investigation. About time.

Any dom/domme who insists on meeting only in private, claims local scene is only full of drama, and oversteps any boundary of yours - do NOT get involved! Munches and clubs exist to help keep people safe.
