Serious question about role play in stories.

So,
I'm writing a story with some lesbian content and the characters begin roleplaying a mother/daughter relationship. Both are 18+ but is there any language I should be cautious of using when writing such an interaction?

As long as you don't go too much into age play with one of the characters roleplaying a really young character, a simple mother-daughter roleplay shouldn't be an issue at all.

I do think there's a good chance it crosses two lines that don't go well together. Most categories don't like incest content ( even if it's roleplay and there's no ambiguity that it is ) and the incest readership is going to pan it for not being real incest if you go with that category.

There's a fair to middling chance that Laurel will assign it to incest no matter what category you choose as well. It's a "trump" category that can often override other content.

Well this will be 'bookended' by some intense family taboo stuff anyway so I'm hoping it ends up in the incest category anyway. I'm going to change 'mommy,' to 'mom' or 'momma' just to make the words seem a little more adult.
That was good advice though, I had not thought of that. Thanks.

i'd agree RR. i had one rejected a couple of weeks ago for underage references, not because the characters were actually underage, but some of the language might have been perceived as ambiguous. for example, the mother said -

“Yes,” Diane mumbled with her eyes half-shuttered as she chewed her bottom lip. “Now I want you to love me. Love me, my sweet boy."

her son is twenty i hasten to add, but in the original submission i didn't specify his age. hence a rejection.

so, in short, yeah, language can be a problem.

but, if you're specific about over 18, no worries. :)

Watch the baby talk and you'll be fine. Use "mom" stay away from Mommy or anything like "baby girl"

The site is tough on under age.

Anything else is a free for all:rolleyes:
