Um, no offense, but you also need help with capitalization, although I'm guessing you did that on purpose.

The best way to find an editor is to go to the monthly sticky of available editors in the Editor's Forum (usually the first thread listed) and see who is available. Send them a PM (private message) telling what kind of help you need, how long your story is, what category it is in, and what your time frame is.

Please, please, please, check to see if they will edit stories in your category before you ask. Don't just send it cold.

I'm looking for an editor who will help me with more than grammatical and spelling issues. Since I'm a new writer, I need an editor to help make my story better and worth reading. Where do I find one?

or

I'm in need of an editor for all aspects of writing. As a new writer, I need an editor to help make my story more readable. Where do I find one?

Now to answer the question. Check the stickies by MistressLynn regarding available Volunteer Editors for whichever month you are in need of one. Use proper English, punctuation and grammar. Do not use ALL CAPS to make a point. Instead, consider that bold can get the point across without feeling like we are being "yelled" at. Use Spell Check. Use apostrophes where needed, such as I'm rather than Im. Be polite. Post a thread that tells what genre you are writing in, or category, here at Lit, and the approximate word count. Let them know what the time frame needed is.

Those things are more likely to get someone to consider editing your writing. No, I will not edit, as I am not an editor. I have taken a course in self-editing, but that in no way gives me the credibility to do editing for others. It helps me to be a better writer, and to self-edit. That is all.

Not being rude or anything but your the second person to comment on my question. If you dont like how i wrote my question, well dont reply. Its as simple as that. When I said "WHERE THE HECK DO I FIND ONE" I wasn't yelling, It was a simple question.

I fully intend to be rude back.

I was starting to think you didn't have an apostrophe key, since you don't use one for the words "I'm" and It's...then I saw you have used one for wasn't.

I saw where you offered to be an editor. Please don't. If you can't do simple contractions, I don't trust you to be able to do other grammatical or punctuation editing.

And anyone that starts a post out, not to be rude, knows they are being rude, and so does everyone else. Let's not kid ourselves.
