Series page info wrong

So...this is a minor issue, not really one I care a ton about...I'm just curious if anyone else had seen/had this problem, and if so, if there is a way to deal with it.

My current WIP, The Tales of Shoshana has some interesting issues with the series info page.

On the info page for the series, it says it's a 3-part series. Yet, there are currently 6 parts. (On my Profile page, it says there are 6 parts)

On the series Info page it says that I have a total of 14 works published...but I have 16. (On my profile page, and everywhere else on the site, it correctly says I have 16)

It also has my followers wrong. It shows 76 on the series info page, when in reality it is 78.

Again, none of this is a huge issue. It effects very little if anything...I'm just a little anal-retentive, an like to have things look just right... HAs anyone else every seen/noticed/had this problem before? Is there a way to fix it?

I've looked several times at my Series info edit page, and there is nowhere to edit the "number of parts" as this seems to be an automated thing, whether the series is manual, or auto updated.

I've also deleted the cache and cookies on my computer (and laptop, and phone) several times, thinking maybe I was just loading a cached version of the site. It did not fix the problem.

Most parts of Lit are cached (server side) and so out of date. I seem to recall that data on series pages lags. It’s probably just that. Look again in a few days maybe.

I know it took nearly 2-3 weeks before it went from a "2-part series" to a "3-part" even though Ch 2-3 and Ch 4 went up 1 day apart....

That's probably it..thanks

Making changes to series pages, or creating them, takes about the same amount of time as posting a story edit. But I think the info on them (like follower count) might get refreshed at less than a daily cadence as well.

If the system is listing your series automatically, you can change it to manual and fix it yourself, but you can never go back once you do.

I can, and I did do this. The problem is, every time I submitted a new chapter...it just keeps creating a NEW automatic series.....

It's very error prone. I have to keep fixing series every several months, because of compilation double ups which I can't explain. It's a bit tedious, but no-one has ever commented, so I reckon readers are clever and can figure it out.

Out of order is the only big issue for me as a reader. I am too used to clicking on the next chapter link at the end of each chapter in a series. I don't keep track of what number I am reading, so if they are out of order, I read them out of order. I did comment and message an author about their series when I ran into that.

Yeah, again, my only two issues, is the automated series popping up every time a new story comes out (but I catch that within hours, as I am looking for it) and the fact that it takes forever for the series page to update with new info... compared to everything else...

but no big deal. This thread was not intended to complain about it, it was more to figure out the issue, which as it turns out is just: There is a delay in updating it. So no harm no foul.

A possibly useful experience/observation here. If you don't want the auto-series to mess with things, don't use chapter numbering, and especially don't use the Story Name 00 Pt. 00 naming protocol. Just give each chapter a functional name without numbers, and the system won't pick it up.

I have two series as WIP, one "the old way", and then there's the new one. Zero problems with the (newer) named chapters version, I manually add to the series sometimes minutes after it goes live. The continuation of the older, numbered version? Dammit if the auto function keeps wrenching control away, creating a new series even though I manually added the stories to the preexisting series. Turning the manual function on in the auto series does nothing, the system goes back and redoes it its way!

So... solution is to finish the upload of the whole numbered version (last one published yesterday), letting the auto function do its thing. Now my task this afternoon will be disconnecting the numbered chapters from the auto header and concatenating them separately to the already manually-managed series, then deleting the automatically created series header.
