Series about married man falling for his neighbor

Looking for a multi-part series where a man hires his neighbor as his assistant, they hook up, at one point she wears his wife's wedding dress/her veil (I think). SPOILERS... turns out his wife was cheating too, shes dies/is killed, he runs south to central america/the islands, the story ends with the girl following him there.

If anyone knows what story series I am talking about I would be grateful! Thank you for the help!
