So last night I was explaining to a friend different knots and uses for said knots. I was explaining how to tie someone to the bed posts with rope, when I got to the part of tying the knot on the bed post I had and am having a complete brainfart. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the knot where you pull the rope to remove the slack but won't lose tension. Bowline? Slip knot? Trucker hitch? I was explaining this via text so a demo isn't possible, anyone know what I'm talking please help so I can forward knot name to friend.

No a square knot is used to tie the two ends of a single line together.
