Sen. Paul Wellstone (D-MN) Was apparently killed in an airplane crash this afternoon.
I'm hearing on my radio news that the plane carrying him, his wife, and his daughter went down short of the runway while he was on a campaign trip.
Sen Wellstone was involved in a very intense campaign for re-election. Many experts in the political game have said that he was going to lose his seat, mostly on his stance toward both the Gulf War years ago and Iraq now.
