In a near-unanimous vote, the Senate passed legislation that effectively overturns an appeals court's decision to dismiss criminal manslaughter charges against the emu, a flightless bird sometimes confused with the ostriche.

The emu is not the only one confused about the ostrich.

The confusioin probably comes from the senators hearing from their Granpappies that Adolf Hitler wasn't in fact German but of Austereich descent.

Notwithstanding, an ad-hoc bi partisan committee voted 4 to 2 in favour of waking up and smelling descent.

Adolph Hitler? Ah, wait! You mean Adolf Schicklegruber, the Austrian. I think the main problem with Austria is that people expect them to have kangaroos. When they find out that, outside of a few in zoos, Austria does not have kangaroos, the disappointment leads to the rejection of things Austrian.

True, up to a point, but let us not forget, "Big Arnold."

Someone, I believe it was Simon Wiesenthal, once said the genius of the Austrians was they'd been able to convince most of the world that Hitler was German and Beethoven was Austrian.

Rumple Foreskin

With some important exceptions, one of them being the man who was elected governor of California.

And here I thought that finding out that Arnold Schwartzenegger was Austrian lead to the rejection of things Austrian.
