Sen: McCaskill tries to distance self from ‘crazy Democrats,’ names Warren & Sanders

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) has attempted to distance herself from more radical Democrats in the weeks leading up to the midterm elections.

McCaskill answered, “I would not call my colleagues crazy, but Elizabeth Warren sure went after me when I advocated tooling back some of the regulations for small banks and credit unions.”

"I certainly disagree with Bernie Sanders on a bunch of stuff,” McCaskill said. ”So I don’t know those kinds of things which do separate me, I think, from some of the knee-jerk folks that just are against the president no matter what.”

The crazy Democrats are people who walk in restaurants and scream in elected officials’ faces,” McCaskill said. “We have a state senator here in Missouri that actually advocated for the assassination of President Trump."

She does this every election. This is her third bite at the apple, but I think this bite has a worm in it.

As with them all, she's learned to tailor her message not to what she believes in and will do, but what do they want to hear, knowing that I will not do it.

And that too is *chuckle* worthy. You have a guy in the White House who is actually following through on everything he said he'd do. We can sit and argue whether we actually want it done or not, but that's what he ran on and that's what's happening.

That presents a dilemma for the 'politics as usual' crowd. How that's going to shake out in the mid-terms is yet to be seen. No matter how big Trumps rallies are the fact remains that Trump isn't on any ballot and you can't have 'coattails' if you aren't running. (As much as BB would like to believe otherwise.)
