Has anyone else been annoyed that this story series has been pulled from Lit? I believe it is because it is based on a teenager's crush on her mentor. There's nothing sexual, except that she likes to cuddle and would like him to want her too, but he adamantly rejects her advances. there is a hint of some potential relationship down the road when she is more mature based on a vision she has of herself and her mentor later in life - it's brief and non-graphic.

This is an interesting non-human non-wolf story. It seems a bit extreme for Lit to reject this story because of a vision into the future of this teenager which doesn't even describe sex.

Most stories that are pulled from Literotica are pulled by the authors for reasons of their own (often because they are publishing them). What evidence do you have the Literotica pulled it? If now, aren't you wasting good rant?

As Pilot asked, do you know "under age" was the reason for this? Has the author posted something on their page or have you e-mailed them and gotten that answer?

If you have you should mention that here, if not then you're guessing.

The way you describe the story I don't think there would be an underage issue and if it was a multiple chapter series that means chapters were approved.

Many times when someone pulls a series here its because they are planning on publishing it somewhere else.

Nope, it's a valid rant...I and a few others have corresponded with the author who is quite frustrated with the lack of response from the Lit team. She even said that she had reposted the chapter clarifying that the vision was of the girl as an adult. And THAT'S when it was pulled. Seems like an extreme application of the rule.

The author wrote: When I clicked on the reason [for the stories being pulled], it gave me an automated answer, which said: "Is there underage sex in my story?" And only to review my story to make sure there wasn't, which I am VERY sure there wasn't because I would not write underage sex."

Yes chapters had been approved. I think she had posted 5 chapters before it was pulled - and she has said she has many more prepared that she is ready to post. I have complained to Lit explaining why I believed there was no violation of the rules but have heard nothing.

Unfortunately the author is having to figure out how to publish it outside of Lit, but not because she wants to.

The reason is a question, as noted here. The author can resubmit the chapter and explain what ages the characters are in the notes box on the submission form.

As for the lack of response from the what you term the 'Lit team', the team is Laurel. In addition, an e-mail won't work. That seems to be defunct. A PM to Laurel is the way to get a reply.

I suggest the author resubmit and answer the rejection question. That's the simplest way, in my opinion.

This seems like a problem that can be solved with careful writing. In addition to the good advice that others have offered here, I would encourage the author to ask herself if the text or even the formatting of it can be tweaked to separate the innocent and admittedly under-age parts, and to set off more clearly the explicit and adult parts?

Oh well, that and three more cents will get you a nickel. :)

Perhaps if you had noted this in the OP . . .

And the editor (Laurel) doesn't seem to read the forum much. If you want to rant at her, I suggest sending a PM.

This was originally meant as a post to other semideum fans so I hadn't really thought to go into too much detail. But your post and other PMs have been very helpful with suggestions which I passed on to the author.

You shouldn't get me wrong, I am a big fan of this site and this forum and this was not a rant at Laurel. I sent a comment via the comments email link and didn't get any response. So I posted here looking for some input from other readers. And as always, I received some very thoughtful and helpful feedback. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't think e-mails are ever opened by Laurel. Sometimes you can get a response by PMing her (private message, upper right of this page). I say only "sometimes," because that's been my response rate, although I haven't sent her many.
