I am a new writer in the adult industry. I have one site that I write for and would like to find other sites that would sell my stories. Where would I go to find these? Would a sample be acceptable?

What is my next step?

Concise Approach?

Well I would work on my approach first. The post you have here only leaves tons of questions.
I will assume that you understand Literotica is a free erotic story posting site and at the bottom of this page you will see a link to the Story Index page, where I am sure you have found all pertinent information.
On from there, once you obtain an authors page here at Literotica you will notice quite a few options and one of these is Writers/ submit. In there you will find this:

From this page you can control your options relating to the Writers.Literotica.com website. This part of Literotica was designed to give authors a chance to offer their services to publishers and other organizations for compensation. As an author, it is totally optional for you to list your talents on the Writers.Literotica.com site. This is simply an opportunity for authors who are looking for more exposure, to get it. To be eligible, you must have at least one approved submission on Literotica and you must set up a profile and choose which work samples you want shown on the Writers.Literotica.com site.

As far as pay, I am sure we all dream of such things.

If you submit free stories here and gain a reputation or following for them, that writers' link might then be worth pursuing.

But a quick tot-up reveals there are about 190 000 members on this site, of whom about 14 000 have stories or poems up. There are about 50 000 stories and 12 000 poems here.

Of these, 9 authors (11 stories) got money for being published in the Literotica book.

Dear RS,
Makes winning the lottery seem like a sure thing.

Never give up!

This isn't the only way of life. You can do anything you can dream. Just because most who use theses boards have no real life other than knocking someone down for asking or trying, they have no life.
I've sold stories, made a few bucks at it too! There book is not the only way to make money.
Good luck and never stop.

seeling is not just the problem

I can see from these posts that most writers feel that it is difficult to sell but when you look at it from the other side it is even more difficult to buy! As the owner of a website I have found it terribly difficult to find an open board where it is possible to post an offer for purchasing stories.

best regards

We'll sell! Just don't expect us to undercut each other's rates. We do have a union.

There is a section on Literotica where authors offer their services for money. I've never been approached. Perhaps that's because I want paying by the word.

please tell!

nice to know that there is a section where authors sell their stories. Could you please tell me where it is, does not seem
to be easy to find?

Go to front page of Literotica, click on submissions, then click on login. That will take you to the main members' page members.literotica.com.

On the left hand side of the page is a title "Writers". That will let you sign up to "sell" stories with a profile and sample works from your Literotica stories.

Whether anyone buys ...

Dear Venerable Og,
The way you write, that pretty much prices you out of the market.
Respectfully,

thanks for the help

Dear Oggbashan

thanks for your help which is appreciated. I am actually
interested in purchasing stories. As a website owner
where do I go to see the stories that are possibly for
sale?

regards

Soham

Dear Soham,

There are a couple of hundred thousand on Literotica. If you find one you like send a Personal Message to the author. They might sell.

Soham,

You might send a PM (e-mails don't always work) to Laurel and Manu, the owners of this site. I think they're working a plan to provide Literotica content (primarily stories) to other sites.

Copyright remains with the author, so they can't do that direct.

As to the sales for 9 authors, that was just Lit's own book. Many of us <polishes fingernails on lapel> have sold and do sell to other publishers, paper and electronic.
