In my quest to become more confident about myself i remembered about tapes that you play while sleeping, these tapes send messages which almost give the effect of brainwashing, im sure a lot of you have heard of them. I hear that the smoking ones really work and so i was wondering if there was a way to buy or find a tape that i could play that would make me think more like a woman, see myself as a woman etc. Some people would have moral objections to doing such an act but i'm really interested in this sort of thing and if i could get such a tape to play in my sleep i could awake the next morning and think of myself as a pretty girl.

You're talking about Sleep-Learning, not Self-Hyppnosis.

Results from sleep learning are spotty and unpredictable. The theory is sound and the effect can be documented but everyone reacts differently to any given message or voice so what works for one person usually won't work for another.

If you can find the right voice and the right message -- and are one of those people who can sleep with someone whispering in your ear all night -- then sleep learning may well be useful.

However, sleep learning works best when it's tailored for the specific patient. Generic, one-tape-fits-all, products are probably going to be a waste of money and/or a matter of luck. Find someone who you trust and has a voice that won't irritate you and keep you awake, and have them make a tape extolling your beauty and virtues (or make one yourself) -- it's both cheaper and more likely to be effective than searching for a commercial release that has the right message.

its Called Sleep suggestion. the item plays and since your active mind shuts down the passive mind takes over, sleep suggestion is not hypnosis rather it just puts something in your mind and acts as a suggestion. like some one backing you up when your doing something. in the end sleep suggestion theropy tends to be a confiedence booster at best.

there is nothing outside of regular psychological hypnosis in order to get the altered mind state feeling that you are seaking. Also, Hypnosis (which i dont fully belive in) can not Alter your sexual identity. since your sexual identity is built on chemicals not minds electronic impulses. for instance, women are women because their body is bathed in estrogen, as their menstral cycles continualy go through out most of their life it constantly feeds progestrone and estrogen into their body giving them the feelings that make them women. men have testosrone running through their vains which makes them feel that way.

also on a biological level, the reason men and women are diffrent is because their brains are built diffrent, the womans brain is smaller than a mans, BUT the womans brain is More complete than a mans (the connection between right and left brain is larger) giving them a better throught process and mental capbilities, which is why women are crazy and cookie, they are using more of their brain then men, and simple minded men dont understand... lol

Well if the best it can do is be a confidence booster than that is good enough for me i really need the confidence to come to terms witht the way i feel and maybe have the confidence to tell more than just a select few female friends.

hehe i didn't expect something like that to work but the ones im looking at may work. i think the way they work is they act like a fake conscience, putting thoughts into your head and if you listen to them frequently enough they become frequent thoughts. i might as well give em ago, nothing bad can come of them not working.
