There are very few firsts in a Vampire's life but yet, we do have them...

One's first hunger. The hunger is so great, nothing can stand in the way of making the hunger go away. It's the first time in a Vampire's life where one is the most savage...

One's first need.. The need to be among your own kind. The need to fight to keep your kind alive...

One's first mate... There comes a time in a Vampire's life where a mate must be taken. It doesn't matter if it's another Vampire or another human. As long as the need is there... the hunger...

This time in my life came with such feriouscity, such want and such need.... I wasn't sure how to control it, nor how to go about it, all I knew is that I had a need to mate...

****************

Staring out at the crowd below, my eyes locked on 'the one'. The one who caught my eye. He was quite handsome as far as human looks went. Tall, at least 6'3" compared to my 5'8" stature, blonde hair, blue eyes...piercing blue eyes that had a look of yearning.

Or perhaps it was my own eyes that were the ones yearning. Yearning for this human I watched as he walked from the small store at the corner of the street back to his place. He had no idea I was following him, no idea that I watched from afar....

No idea he was going to be my mate and that my hunger was so great, it would happen....no matter what.

Nathan Shaw had come back from the war damaged. At least, that was his opinion. The Army psychiatrists said otherwise. They told him he was fine. And he didn't bother to argue with them. But every night he relived the horrors of war in his nightmares.

Yet he tried to soldier on. Tried to make believe he could go back to a normal life, now that there was no one shooting at him or trying to blow him up. But crowds made him nervous. And loud sounds had him either ducking for cover or pulling out the Ka-Bar knife that was always strapped to his left hip.

The pivotal moment came when he picked up a girl in a bar and took her back to his place. The sex was good. It reminded him of what it was like to feel human contact once more. But in the middle of the night, he awoke to her hands frantically striking his face, trying to get him to release his stranglehold on her neck. He apologized profusely. She could have called the police and he wouldn't have fought the charges. But she had a brother who'd come back from the war damaged. So she forgave him. However, he never saw her again.

As the result of that night, Nathan decided the war had made him too violent to be in civilized society. He needed to isolate himself from society. He started to avoid people as much as possible. Not easy to do while living in the city. So he began going online, trying to find someplace isolated outside the city to move to. In the meantime, he got a work-from-home online job so he'd no longer have to ride a crowded subway to work. And he chose odd hours to take care of his grocery shopping. Hours when few people are out on the streets. Like tonight. There was something to be said for 7-Elevens and Walmarts.

Unfortunately, he still ended up in a crowd. A late night movie marathon had just let out. The problem with crowds was not just that they made him nervous. At 6' 3" and 200 lbs, with blond hair, blue eyes, a muscular build and good looks, he seemed to draw the attention of any females in the crowd. He did his best to politely turn down every invitation to a party, while trying his best to make it back to his building. But it was slow going in the crowd. And he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following him. Was that paranoia from the war?

Nathan breathed a big sigh of relief once he was finally back in his apartment.

She watched him sleep.

Well...attempt to sleep. She had been in his apartment for some time watching him. Studying him.

Had he been the wiser? Several times he seemed to sense he was being watched. She was invading his privacy but it was necessary. She didn't know his name but could feel his... troubles as he slept. There was a knife near him as he slept.

Curious.

From what she gathered, this man...her future mate, used to be in the military... she sense he saw war.

Saw those around him killed.

Maybe he was the one who did the killing.

Although she wanted to study him more, it was getting harder and harder to maintain her distance.

Maintain her dignity. If she could not feel this...want...this...hunger, then she would gladly deny herself it but this was more than she could control.

And she needed it fed. But yet, she wanted to do it right.

If he were another Vampire, he would sense it. And all would be taken care of but no, she was dealing with a human and they had to be treated more...delicately...

Nathan had made a conscious decision not to get a gun once he'd gotten out of the Army. He knew too many who in a moment of depression, had put a bullet through their own head. And some who in a moment of anger, went on a killing spree. So he got a Ka-Bar from a local Army surplus store for protection instead. Pulling the trigger on a gun was too easy. With a knife, killing took more time and effort. Time during which a person could come to their senses.

The nightmare for tonight was a relentless figure in black, who pursued Nathan through the streets of the city. The nightmare ended with the darkness consuming him. Except for a set of gleaming white teeth with an abnormally long set of canines that reached for his neck.

He awoke with a gasp, taking awhile to get his breathing and heart rate back to normal. As he lay there on his side, debating whether to turn over or get up and spend some time on the computer, he sensed a presence in his room. Actually, he sensed a scent of leather. He had an old leather jacket buried in the back of his closet, but he hadn't had it out in a while. These days, he wore denim. So someone with a fondness for leather was in his room.

Ever so subtly, Nathan reached over towards the nightstand for his knife.

"Don't." Selene said from a corner of the room where she was out of sight. She wasn't telling him because she was afraid of him or what he might do to her...she was telling him because she was afraid she would hurt him if he try to attack first. It was true, she could move faster than the average human and she was also much stronger. If she wanted to, she could have been on top of him, keeping him from grabbing that knife.

"If I were to hurt you, I would have done so long ago."

There were a few moments of silence before she moved out of the darkness and into the faint illumination from the street light outside.

"You were dreaming..." More of a fact than a question. She moved a bit closer, "You haven't been sleeping well, I gather."

((OOC: I'm assuming Selene is wearing her usual outfit. But does she have those two guns with her as well? Or did she leave them at home, assuming she could handle a human without them?))

She spoke with a trace of a foreign accent. Maybe British? Nathan paused his hand, his male ego fighting with his curiosity. His ego didn't want a woman, an intruder no less, dictating his actions. So his ego wanted to grab the knife. But his curiosity had him wondering why she was here. Yet he couldn't satisfy his curiosity while engaged in a fight with the intruder.

In the end, it was his chauvinism that won out. If he needed a knife to defend himself from a woman, then he was a sorry excuse for a male. He rolled over on his back and looked around the room. But only when she came out of the shadows did he see her. Strikingly beautiful, she obviously had a thing for black leather. A long leather overcoat covering a leather catsuit. What with the overcoat obscuring her figure, her outline looked similar to that dark being that had chased him in his nightmare. If she smiled, he wondered if she would also have fangs like the being in his nightmare.

Nathan had at least 70 pounds and 7 inches on her. Though the heels on those boots probably gave her some extra height. Especially since all he was wearing were his tidy whities. He was not the kind of guy to get embarrassed, but he did find their size difference, coupled with their difference in clothing somewhat................bizarre.

Except for the overcoat, she could be said to have dressed like a cat-burglar. So was this a robbery? If so, she'd clearly come to the wrong apartment. And why would a burglar care how well their victim was sleeping?

"It doesn't help that some black figure with your outline keeps chasing me in my nightmares. You wouldn't by chance have a couple of fangs for teeth, would you? And why have you broken into my apartment?"

She had a lovely face, with flawless skin and piercing icy blue eyes that locked on his in a manner that he found unsettling. He wanted to turn his gaze away from hers, but found it hard to do. Her hair was disheveled, like someone who was constantly on the move and had little time or use for stylists. Her skin seemed unnaturally pale, but perhaps it was because of all the black she was wearing. Her lips were a lush red that tried to balance out the paleness of her skin.

Between her clothing and her look, the woman gave off a predatory vibe that made Nathan uneasy, yet intrigued him.

Selene didn't acknowledge his questions...she was in fact, studying him.

Listening to his voice...as if it were even possible to visually see his words. She could, however, feel the tension in the room. It was a mix of her tension from wanting him and the other... she wasn't sure.

A more minutes passed before she broke the silence, her voice monotone as she spoke, "Your nightmares... I gather you've had nothing but nightmares since returning." She didn't give him a chance to answer, "to civilization." A statement, not a question. "I saw what it was you were dreaming... you've seen war first hand..."

Walking to the other side of the room, Selene continued to speak, "I only saw a little bit of what you were dreaming and for that, I apologize. I would not normally invade your mind without permission but you seemed so pained."

Almost in a flash, Selene was on top of the man, who's dog tags read 'Nathan', "I can take away your nightmares, Nathan...would you like that?" She asked, her eyes looking so deeply into his as she prevented him from moving...

The longer the woman remained silent after Nathan's questions, the angrier he became. Angry that she had invaded his apartment. Angry that she was ignoring his questions. Angry that he couldn't seem to break free of her gaze. And angry that in spite of all that, he was incredibly attracted to her.

When the woman finally did speak, she was like a psychologist analyzing his dreams rather than a thief explaining her actions. But maybe that was her plan. Deflect his questions until she could get close enough to pounce. And pounce she did.

Nathan could have claimed he'd lowered his guard. But the truth was, she moved in the blink of an eye. No amount of alertness on his part could have countered her speed. But all the more incredible was her strength. He had the weight, height, size, and biceps to best her in a battle of strength. And yet she had him pinned to the bed and unable to break free.

Was she really that much stronger than she appeared? Or was it those infernal eyes of hers that were sapping the will out of him? Something was not right here. When she leaned in until her face was inches from his, he could feel her icy breath on his cheek. The cold scent of.........death. And as she spoke, he could indeed see a set of fangs showing in her mouth.

"I can take away your nightmares, Nathan...would you like that?"

The locals had warned him of vampires wandering the city. But he'd always laughed at their claims. Vampires were nothing more than an urban myth, he would say.

In a faltering voice of one who was struggling to hold onto his mind long enough to get a couple more questions out, he gasped, "What are you? What do you want with me?"

"What are you? What do you want with me?"

The answer was simple.

"You, Nathan. I want you."

She leaned down and nipped at his lip as she continued to hold him down. It was then Selene gasped as a small flash of memories...his memories...entered her mind. That was the side effect when tasting another's blood...why was why her people created synthetic blood. It kept them alive with out the side effects of having to 'live' a mortal's life memories.

Now she understood the reason for his nightmares. At first, it was only a feeling..or observation but having seen just a glimpse made her fully aware of his dreams. He was a warrior, like her.

No, she was a death dealer. It was much different.

Selene eased her hold of Nathan and looked at him again. If she could express her understanding through her eyes, she would but right now, there was nothing except two warriors staring each other down.

Then, without a warning, Selene went for his neck and drank...

Many of her kind had 'mortal' suppliers... once bitten, they were compliant... willing to do anything for their 'master' or 'mistress'. Selene never killed out of want, only for survival. Nor did she ever fulfill her blood urge by force...or by killing the innocent.

Which Nathan was.

She took enough from him to make him weak...but still able to understand her. No, again, they were both warriors and she would give him a chance to defend himself and from there, a decision would be made.

"This is only a taste of what you can feel Nathan... in two days time, meet me at Marshall's warehouse by the docks if you want more, because Nathan, I want you but I will not take it without a fight." She pulled away, her voice still quiet, "Rest now Nathan...rest peacefully."

And with that, she was gone, just as fast as she appeared.

"You, Nathan. I want you."

It was not the response he was expecting.

At first, Nathan thought she was an assassin, seeking revenge for some action of his during the war. But a jihadist assassin would never dress the way she had. Then he thought she was a thief. She was dressed appropriately. But thieves usually tried to avoid confrontations with their victims. When the word "vampire" began to seep into his mind, he figured she was looking for a meal.

Not without a fight, he thought to himself. And he became angrier when she seemed to playfully bite his lip. Teasing him at the control she had over him. But by doing so, she broke contact with his eyes. For a brief moment, his mind began to clear.

When she eased her grip on his wrists, Nathan tensed, preparing to throw her off of him. But before he could make his move, she swooped down, sinking her teeth into his neck and drinking deep of his blood.

All of a sudden, his mind was overwhelmed with images of the woman. Her name was Selene and she had lived for centuries longer than he had. It was like a flash-back of one's life at the moment of death. Only it wasn't his life that he was reliving, but hers. And with centuries to relive, it was almost more than his mind could take. But one thing became clear. What she wanted was a mate. She was an incredibly desirable woman.............for a vampire! But that was the problem. She was a vampire. And he wasn't looking to become one of the undead.

When she finally had her fill and had released his neck, he was too physically weak to fight anymore. And his mind was ravaged by the information overload.

"This is only a taste of what you can feel Nathan... in two days time, meet me at Marshall's warehouse by the docks if you want more, because Nathan, I want you but I will not take it without a fight." She pulled away, her voice still quiet, "Rest now Nathan...rest peacefully."

Her words were the last thing he could recall when waking up the next morning. He lay there in bed, wondering if she had turned him into a vampire. Then he scrambled to the bathroom to look in the mirror for bite marks. And for his reflection.

“What if he doesn’t show?” Marnie’s voice said from the entry of the doorway to Selene’s room at the mansion. For her part, Selene wanted to jump at barely noticing that someone had disturbed her and she hadn’t heard it. This bloody hunger was keeping her on edge. Yes, she didn’t want to just take what wasn’t hers…that wasn’t her way and she wasn’t going to start doing that. No, like she had said to Nathan, he was a warrior and therefore, deserved to defend himself.

Selene just hoped that she had done the right thing and given him a choice. Would he show tonight? She was sure in that aspect..then again..who could tell with mortals?

“He’ll show.” Was all she could say with some hardness in her voice.

Yes, he would show... why wouldn’t he? Selene had given him a taste of what it would be like to have one night’s peaceful rest...no nightmares...nothing..

***
Later that night, Selene waited in the dark. She wasn’t sure how long she had been waiting but she was patient. For now.

The warehouse was private property. Her property. She kept it under a pseudo name and used it for whatever should come up…just like tonight. No one would bother them. Selene had also put out word and instructions that if anyone were to come across Nathan, he was not to be hurt or else, she would deal with them personally.

“Don’t disappoint me, Nathan...” she whispered to herself as she continued to wait for his arrival..

The two fang marks were very visible. But then, so was he. He wasn't sure what part of vampire legend to believe. But he vaguely recalled that losing one's reflection is an indicator that the person has turned.

"I want you but I will not take it without a fight!"

Nathan spent much of the day trying to figure out what Selene had meant by that. Was she saying she was required to fight him to have him? Was that some kind of code of the vampires? It was presumptuous of her, making the assumption that he wanted her AND was willing to fight her to get her?

Oh, who was he kidding! He wanted her! He couldn't pinpoint the moment he'd become obsessed with her. Somewhere last night, it just happened. Maybe it was the moment her eyes locked on his, as she took over his brain and turned it into mush. Or maybe it was the moment she had his wrists in an iron grip, when he realized this was one woman he didn't have to worry about hurting. Or maybe it was the moment she sank her teeth into him and introduced him to a wider world beyond human comprehension. Or maybe it had been simply the moment she'd stepped out of the shadows and entranced him with her beauty. Yes, that was it. He'd been hers from the moment he laid eyes on her.

Yet now Nathan was sharpening his knife because she'd thrown down the gauntlet, making it clear their next meeting would require a fight. He had to assume he wouldn't be allowed to hold back, either. Selene would probably kill him if he did, considering him too weak for her purposes. But a knife would be insufficient against a vampire, anyhow. So he began to search the Internet for vampire lore. Holy water, silver, wooden stakes, sunlight, fire, decapitation and disease were all considered. Ironic, since he didn't want to kill her, but the warrior in him required him to consider ways of killing her.

Disease wouldn't work because he was perfectly healthy. Holy water wasn't really for killing, but driving the vampire back, just like with garlic. The meeting would be at night, so sunlight was out of the question. He could decapitate her with a knife, but with her speed and strength, she wouldn't give him time enough to do that. Some silver oxide on his blade might work. But only if he got close enough to her to cut her. Likewise with a wooden stake. And with the wooden stake, he'd need to be precise and get her in the heart. Stabbing her somewhere else wouldn't do.

The next day, Nathan went to the address she'd given. It was daylight, so he assumed she and her kind would not be out yet. The warehouse looked abandoned, except for a relatively new lock on the front gate. If there were cameras, he couldn't see them. He climbed the fence and found a window with a pane missing, enabling him to unlock it and climb in without leaving a trace that he'd entered. The interior was a vast empty space, chains hanging down from the ceiling with hooks on them. His first instinct was to think they were for hanging human meat. After all, vampires were predatory creatures. But since there was a track system up above running the length of the warehouse, the chains and hooks were probably for moving heavy equipment and merchandise from one end of the warehouse to the other. Not so sinister as his first instinct, but more logical. When he'd studied the site enough, he slipped back out the window and over the fence.

That night, Nathan dressed in a black jeans and sweatshirt so as to be less visible to the local wildlife and headed to the warehouse once again to meet Selene. He still wasn't sure how he was going to fight her without one of them ending up dead.

Selene waited. She was a very patient person besides, if he didn’t come to her, then she could certainly go and find him. But, after a few more minutes passed, she sensed him near. She didn’t move from her perch on top one of the rafters in the middle of the warehouse. She had long sense sent Marni away. The young Vampire was asking way too many questions and testing Selene’s patience…which she didn’t have time for, at least, not lately.

She watched him before jumping from the rafter and down to him, only to land in front of him…mere feet from where he stood.

“Hello Nathan.” Selene said, her color much better since feeding off him the previous night. “Have you thought more about what I said last night?”

Selene didn’t dare take anything for granted and kept her reflexes on alert.

Nathan took a large step back, as he glanced up at the rafters above. Selene had dropped three stories without any visible harm. No human could survive such a fall.

He'd put distance between him and her because he wasn't sure if there was going to be a fight tonight. And he was doing his best to avoid eye-to-eye contact so as not to get entranced by her again. Which was hard to do because she was so............... beautiful. He wanted to gaze into that face and into those eyes, but if he did so, the fight would be lost before it had even begun.

"Let me get this straight, Selene. Am I required to fight you to be with you?" His hand was on the hilt of his knife, ready to draw it depending on her answer. Nathan really didn't want to fight her. He couldn't match her speed or strength. And he had no idea how to defeat her without killing her. That assumed she'd even let him get close enough to try. But if he was to fight her, he would give her the fight of her life. He assumed she would expect nothing less.

"Let me get this straight, Selene. Am I required to fight you to be with you?"

If she were to describe him on how a mortal would see him, well, he was quite handsome. But that’s not what drew Selene to him. It was the fact that he looked like he could hold his own in a fight and judging by the things she had seen in his dreams…or rather nightmares from the other night…he knew what it was like to fight for survival.

She didn’t answer him as she slowly circled him. She noticed his stance was tense but ready for anything. Of course, he was no match for Selene…humans generally weren’t a threat, although they did make great servants.

“No Nathan, you do not have to fight me... did you rest well?” She asked as she stopped behind him and walked up to him before putting her face close to his and whispered, “You did sleep without dreams, am I right?” And slowly, seductively, she licked the bite marks she had left from the night before. “I will give you a choice Nathan, do you want that again? Nights to truly rest your body with no more nightmares? Tell me now, submit to me and you can have that. Or don’t and maybe eventually end up mad from not enough of inner peace…”

A couple of hanging lights turned on overhead. Whether someone else was in the warehouse or they were activated by motion, Nathan didn't know. But he noticed Selene had a lot more color to her skin than the other night in his apartment. Of course, he'd noticed the morning after their first meeting that he was paler as a result of her bite. He wasn't sure how he felt about that exchange of blood.

She might have thought she was circling him slowly, but that was in vampire terms. In human terms, she moved far faster than he could follow. He held onto the hilt of his knife until she told him no fight was required. Her bite the other night had given him insight into Selene. One of the things he had learned from that bite was that she was a woman of her word. So Nathan pulled his hand away from the knife, trusting her word.

Her breath was icy cold against his cheek, as she murmured in his ear and then licked the bite wound. He tensed up, expecting her to take more blood. She played with the wound as if she wanted to.

"Yes, I slept without dreams. But when you say "submit to you", do you mean I have to become one of you? A vampire?" The answer to that question was probably given during her bite the other night. But the information overload had been so overwhelming that he'd missed it.

Nathan turned suddenly to face her. He still kept his eyes averted from hers, but reached up to lightly stroke her cheek. "As much as I hate my nightmares, what I hate more is that I've had to isolate myself from the companionship of others. You may have seen how close I came to killing a woman while under the control of one of those nightmares. But how does becoming a vampire make me any less of a threat to humanity than when I'm in the grip of one of my nightmares?"

“No, not like me Nathan, I would never put such…misery upon you.” She took a step back from him as his touch was distracting her.

Selene looked at him and realized he was avoiding eye contact with her. She reached over and tilted his chin up so she could finally look into his eyes, “You came close to killing that woman but in the end you did not because you are a victim of your own demons. I can release the demons Nathan…I can help you fight them! Not by turning you into a Vampire but by taking you as my mate.” With that, she pushed him—hard—against the nearest wall and with the silence that entombed the warehouse, it created a loud ‘thud’.

“What do you want Nathan?! I am giving you a choice! Say no and hard as it will be, I will leave you alone—never to bother you again. But say yes, become my mate and life for you will change.” She leaned in, intimately close to him and kissed him, her tongue finding his before pulling back…she hoarsely whispered, “Make your decision now Nathan before it gets too hard for either of us to walk away…”

The warehouse seemed like the perfect place for a fight. But for a seduction, it left something to be desired.

Which was preferable? Nathan asked himself. To be a vampire with long life and incredible powers, but never able to go out into the sunlight of a lovely day? Or the human mate of a vampire, with all the frailties of a human, but still able to go out into the sun? Would providing her with his blood be a part of being her mate?

One glance at her and he decided he didn't care. But rather than verbally respond to Selene's request for an answer, Nathan reached out and gently stroked her cheek. Those eyes of hers that had always been focused and hypnotic, suddenly became unfocused as he leaned forward for a kiss of his own. For a moment there, she had a look of vulnerability on her face. Did he taste a trace of his own blood on her lips as he licked them and then kissed them? Then stepping back, he reached for the zipper at the top of her cat-suit. And started pulling it down.

Her eyes kept flitting from his hand to his eyes, as if caught off guard by his action. Did she really think he would refuse her?

"Is this a good enough answer for you, Selene?" Nathan murmured softly.

"Is this a good enough answer for you, Selene?"

To say she was surprised would have been an understatement for Selene. Luckily her face didn’t show her surprise but she was sure her sharp intake of breath indicated that yes, this was good enough so far…

Letting Nathan go from against the wall, Selene let him take over for the moment. She watched his eyes and his hands as it slowly unzipped her suit revealing her milky white skin underneath. Almost immediately she felt her nipples stiffen at his touch…even if it was in the slightest as the knuckles brushed against her…

Selene had never let gotten this intimate with a man before. There hadn’t been a need…up until now.

His lips brushed hers once more but it was Selene who leaned in and intensified the kiss, her lips parting and inviting his tongue into her. With his hands on hers, she wanted to reciprocate what he was doing so she reached over as their lips remained locked and pulled at the bottom of his shirt and lifted it before she felt his flesh against the palm of her hands. Tentatively, she let her nails score his skin and as she moved her hands up higher from his stomach and across it on toward his chest.

Clearly, sex was going to be a battle of wills with Selene. Why wouldn't it be? Vampires probably considered themselves to be the alphas of humans. Nathan's tongue explored her fangs, only to regret it when he found out how sharp they were. He hissed and pulled back from her lips when she slashed his stomach with her nails.

"Marking your territory?" he asked with a slight smirk. Shedding the shirt before she could shred it as well, he tossed it off to the side.

Seeing that there was nothing under the catsuit, Nathan wanted so much to remove it. But that was the problem with the catsuit. She looked sexy in it, but it was going to be a bitch to get her out of. So as Selene dug her nails into his chest, he spread the front of her outfit and cupped her breasts, lightly stroking her nipples with his thumbs. He'd take his time trying to figure out how to get her out of all that leather.

"How many have there been before me?" It might not have been an appropriate question to ask a lady, but a part of him needed to know. The flashbacks of her life that he had seen as she bit him indicated there were others. But none of them seemed to hold a significance to her.

She heard him say something about marking her territory and that made her smile slightly, the corners of her mouth rising upward a bit, “Perhaps.” She whispered as she let out an audible gasp when she felt him touch her nipples so gentle. Looking up at him, her eyes closed as the feelings he was bring out in her.

It was then she thought that perhaps she should have asked him to meet her elsewhere as the warehouse was no place for something so intimate…but even though she was sure he was going to show, there was still a small part of her that had her doubts he would show at all. Selene also thought that he would have walked away from her tonight, but he didn’t and that’s what made her want him more.

His question caught her off guard and she had to look up at him, her eyes boring into his as she tried to answer him. Selene shook her head and looked down, “There were two…but they both…died.” Her hands ran down his sides and to the waist of his jeans as she shook her head, “But that is neither here nor there…what matters is what’s about to happen between you and me.” She told him as her hands left him and reached up to her top as she peeled back the leather, peeling her arms out of the top and pushing it down around his waist...

Nathan had spent last night on his laptop, trying to date Selene's age from the flashbacks he'd received from her bite. As near as he could tell, her oldest images were from 14th Century Hungary. Which made her somewhere around 700 years old. So for her to have had only two men in her life prior to Nathan was amazing. And a bit sad. If those other two were dead, did that mean they were human as well? Why would she choose humans with such short lifespans as opposed to her own kind? He wanted to ask and yet he really didn't want to ask. After all, he'd already asked way too many questions of her.

Besides, he was struck speechless when she shed her outfit down to the waist. Perfection! The movies always either portrayed vampires as hideous monsters like Nosferatu or as beautiful angels of death, like Bowie and Deneuve in "Hunger". In Selene's case, it was the later instance. She was flawless! So why had she spent so much of her life alone?

Nathan shook his head, trying to clear it of those thoughts. Then, trying to lighten the mood, he gave her a look of mischief as he slid down the wall until he was opposite her nether regions. Reaching around her, he tugged the suit the rest of the way over the curve of her ass, so that it dropped down to the tops of her boots. Squeezing her cheeks, he marveled at how firm they were. And then he used them to pull her close, burying his face in her pussy.

Nether regions, pussy, mound of Venus, womanhood, or whatever other word he used for her privates, it was comforting to know that though she was a vampire, in all the things that mattered, Selene was still a woman.

She could sense his conflicts… so she reached toward him and caressed his cheek with her thumb, their eyes meeting and her mouth parting slightly, her fangs showing a bit and gleaming in the moonlight. She saw the look in his eyes and when she saw him moving down, she had a slight look of confusion before she realized what he was doing.

Selene was going to say something but her words stuck in her throat as she gasped when she felt his tongue delving between her legs. On instinct, she parted her legs and gasped out louder, her head falling back and her eyes closing as the pleasure of what his tongue and mouth brought to her most private area. It had been so long…so very long since she had this. It literally drove her mad with what he was doing. He moved his tongue expertly and then in conjunction with his hands massaging her ass. Her knees wanted to go weak but she knew better…instead, she raised both hands and planted them against the wall as she opened herself more to him, feeling his face and the rough scratches of his stubble against the insides of her thighs… “Nathan…” she whispered and kept her eyes closed as she enjoyed the moment and what he was doing to her…

It was an odd thing for Nathan to be thinking about, but he wondered how many years, or even centuries, it had been since a man's tongue had entered Selene's gates to heaven. She tasted like..........well, a woman. Why had he thought a female vampire would taste different? But if she had denied her urges for so long, what would the orgasm be like, when it finally came?

Nathan started out with long, slow strokes of his tongue, sweeping from bottom to top. But stopping just short of her clitoris. He could feel her body shudder with each slow, agonizing stroke of his tongue. She had waited for who knows how long for someone to pleasure her down there again, so he was going to take his time. He could feel Selene's legs shaking a bit, the twitching of the muscles felt in those firm cheeks of hers. He stopped massaging those cheeks for a few moments, waiting for her to stabilize her position by leaning against the wall. The way she whispered his name told him that she was enjoying the moment.

Another long lick and he began to notice her clit peaking out from under it's hood. But he ignored it, because it was still too soon. And he was wrong. She did have a different taste than a human female. As her juices began to flow, he could tell the difference. It was sweeter.

She was silent through it all…save for her breathing which increased into a pant. She could literally feel the blood in her body pulsing through her veins…almost as close to what it felt like when she was feeding. Selene allowed herself to enjoy the moment—to savor how Nathan licked her so expertly. Without a though, Selene retracted her fangs as she cupped Nathan’s chin and brought him up to a standing position. She may have been fully exposed to him…but she wasn’t going to lose control…at least not yet.

As they were standing face to face, even with Selene looking up at him, she leaned forward and her lips met his. She kissed him…at first a peck on the lips, another where her lips remained on his until he opened his mouth and she took that as an invite to deepen the kiss. As she did so, she lifted his up shirt and broke the kiss long enough to take it off of him before their lips met again. She let her own tongue explore his mouth before letting his do the same to hers. A small growl emanated from deep in her throat as her bare chest pressed against his…she could taste herself on his lips.
