how about a story where a guy is travelling through the middle of nowhere, stops to use the bathroom and is shocked to find they're still segregated - "blacks" and "whites" not "men" and "women".

on using the "whites" bathroom he finds out why. there's a bunch of gloryholes because the whites are expected to suck all the black dick from the other side!

well, yes, that's true ordinarily, but i'm sure you could explain somehow in the story that this is the thinking behind this specific scenario. i don't know, it's just an idea that came to me.

Sort of a one point story, but it's a "different" idea.

It reminded me of when I went to the Summer Palace near Beijing in China a few years before China opened up to tourism. The "bathroom" was a tent on the hill with two doors at the ends--one for women and one for men. But both doors led into one open space inside the tent.

well, yes, i'm only imagining it as a single incident story, not a long novel with multiple parts. it only has to be one point.
