Seeking Writers for Post-Alien Invasion RP

Seeking Writers for Post-Alien Invasion RP:

• 3-7 writers total.
• 10-20 characters total:
  • Some will be longer term "primary" characters.
  • Others will be shorter term, expendable "secondary" characters.
  • It's your choice as to how many you write.
• I will write an introductory post that will lay out the current local situation.
• Each of you will write an introductory post establishing your character(s).
• After that, the current local situation will be expanded in two ways:
  • I, as host, will introduce stuff.
  • You, as writers, will PM me ideas, which I will mull over and, if it sounds like a good idea, will present to the other writers for a vote. This ensures that no one single player -- except me, of course -- dominates the direction of the story or sends it in a direction that the others despise. (That's how group role plays die.)
  • I will present ideas suggested by you as anonymously contributed if you wish, to protect your identity.
• The general plot and direction is as follows:
  • Aliens have begun bombarding Earth with the obvious goal being to reduce the human population to a manageable level.
  • Our characters are isolated in a mountain ski lodge.
  • We can survive here for a limited amount of time on what we currently have, but will eventually need to go downhill for supplies and information.
  • A balance of group cooperation and free will needs to be established. But hey, if the two parties of Congress can get along and cooperate to run our country, I'm sure that we can ... oh ... bad example.
  • So, essentially, the "direction" is to see whether or not our characters can get along to survive or will need to go on their own and fend for themselves.

  • You can PM it back to me for approval.
  • And then you can introduce your character.

Once we have several characters introduced, we will begin to move the role play forward. If you are in a hurry, you'll need to find something else to do for a few days. If things go as I expect, we will be getting new characters until at least Wednesday or Thursday, so we aren't moving the story ahead until then.
