Seeking male writing partner for alien conquest of Earth.

Hi all, I'm just returning to SRP after a long time gone. (Long story I don't wish to explain.)

I want to resurrect an idea I hashed out with another writer just before my computer died, not to be replaced until just recently. (It's been an ugly long time.)

The basics are:

• An "alien" space station suddenly appears in orbit of Earth. I put quotes around alien because...
• It is soon learned that the "aliens" are actually Humans from the future.
• The Alien Queen (me, of course) claims that in Earth's future, environmental degradation led to wars that eventually led to her Family (which has been living in space on this very space station) coming to power as the rulers of what remained of Earth's surviving population in its entirety.
• She has returned to Earth now as its Queen to prevent the disasters that will ultimately lead to a near-dead planet unable to support life.
• Earth's population in 2022 is nearly 8 billion people: her station supports a little more than 10,000.
• To take control of Earth, she will need to use both the carrot and the stick.

So, what I'm thinking is that she and her Aides will interact with 21st Century Humans in efforts to convince the Nations of the world to see things her way and make her their queen, one country at a time. Of course, there are going to be a lot of nations that won't want to give over rule, and there may be conflicts between them. We'll see.

I have a lot of interesting ideas of how to make this happen, but I'd be interested in how you'd do it as a co-writer, too.

I already have one writer, I believe, but I'd be interested in 2-4 more. I have only just now come back to SRP after having been away a while, so I don't expect people to jump onto my band wagon, not knowing whether or not I'm going to stick around. So, feel free to keep an eye on my for a while as I establish the story's basics and join when you feel comfortable and confident.

Since I'm the one writer about whom you spoke above, I guess it's not really necessary for me to audition via PM, is it?

So, as we discussed, my first character will be Robert Clark, a billionaire tech industry philanthropist who sees the arrival of the Queen as an opportunity to force changes to the way governments deal with environmental destruction.

I also want to write an underdog politician in a Third World country -- perhaps Haiti (since it's in the news now) or some place in Africa -- who begs the Queen to help him overthrow his country's corrupt leadership so that he can establish a socialist government that serves the people rather than foreign investors.

And I'd like to write either a doctor who the Queen approaches regarding his revolutionary ideas about medicines or a leader who accepts the Queen's offer of virtually endless food for his people, on the condition that he commits his country and his people to her as her subjects. (We discussed this a bit in PM earlier.)

I have other ideas, but I will stop there for now.

True, very true.

I like this guy (as we already discussed).

I'd love to see you write it for Haiti. I've always been very interested in both Haiti and Cuba.

Why not write both? I like them both, and if you think you can handle the load, you are welcome to write two or more characters.
