Seeking writers for alien conquest of Earth RP

Concept:

  • This is not meant to be overly sexual. You are welcome to write sexual situations with other writers, but I won't be writing any interactive sexual posts. (I may have some characters in sexual situations, but they won't be "interactive".)
  • An alien spaceship arrives in Earth orbit and immediately begins destroying technology: the ISS, satellites, aircraft, ships, autos, power plants, and so on.
  • Within days, Earth is in a technological dark age.
  • How would you react?
Characters and storylines:
  • You can interact with other writers or write your own storyline without interaction, whichever you prefer.
  • If you need a cowriter and you can't find one, I will try to provide you with one. I can't write dozens of characters, obviously, but I could probably write up to 6 on a 3 or 4 posts per week basis.
  • There are so many possible storylines, from world leaders dealing with their countries' demise to Average Joe dealing with survival and everything in between.
  • I would prefer that you told me in PM about your character arc simply to prevent writers/characters from conflicting with one another.
  • I will, of course, provide the major destructive events, from which you can create your own story.
  • I will also do my best to keep a historical record of events in an OOC such that it is easy to review what's happened where and to whom. This is both for established writers and potentially new ones, as I know that joining a Roleplay late can sometimes be a daunting task.
Writer expectations:
  • My expectations are easy.
  • If you create a character who is key to the storyline involving many other characters, then I need you to post often enough to keep the story moving ahead.
  • However, if you only think you can post a couple of times a week, you can always create a character/storyline that needs only a couple of posts a week.
  • I do hope that all writers will proofread their posts for spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Mistakes are expected -- I make them, too -- but reading the posts of others should not be a task.
  • If you decide to end your participation, you need to understand that your character will be open to death, adoption, or abandonment, per my decision.
