Seeking Writers: "Bikers With Badges"

This is more "story telling" than "role play":
  • Writers will create 1 or more characters who will often function alone with only their own writer's non-player characters, acting in their own little story line within the greater story.
  • With the exception of exchanging replies with the host or with other writers when the club is in a sit down meeting, most writers will only occasionally exchange replies with another writer, instead telling the story of their character(s) actions.
  • I would like writers to post at least 3 times a week.
  • The role play calendar will keep pace with the real world calendar. Every real Monday, we will skip the role play calendar ahead to the next Monday. That gives every writer one week to rap up one week of role play. If all writers are ready to jump ahead earlier than Monday, we will.
The Story:
  • The small rural town of White Oak is plagued by a corrupt, ineffective police department.
  • After a well respected resident and his well loved teenage daughter are killed by a cop (who was fucking the underage girl and was caught by the father), the townsfolk are in an uproar.
  • A local outlaw biker gets revenge for the killings and, to his surprise, finds his name on the ballot for Sheriff for the upcoming election.
  • After winning, he disbands the current force and brings in his fellow bikers as Deputies.
  • The biker's stories will follow three basic types of stories:
    • Bikers doing good things as lawmen should, like catching criminals and keeping the peace.
    • Bikers doing bad things as outlaws would be expected to do, such as using the final punishment about bad guys or extorting local business for protection and other such things.
    • And bikers doing illegal things but doing them in a more respectful way than they were being done by the criminals they replaced (such as running clean brothels or selling drugs with limits intended to keep people from becoming hook and other such stuff like that.)
  • I'm also thinking that there should be a classified Federal investigation taking place, with the goal being to prove illegal activity for financial gain, aka RICO Act.
  • Perhaps a writer or two might want to play undercover agents infiltrating some of the businesses the bikers operate.
I've never tried something this complex before, and I don't know if it will work. But I'd be interested in knowing whether it sounds good to anyone.

SAMCRO mashup.

If you want to make this work you will need 2 dedicated writers and with the way RL tends to step in I really doubt you will be able to keep it with the RL calendar.

When you relax the timing schedule I would be interested in joining

Sounds like a very interesting idea. I share the sentiments with the Tert's comment about keeping pace with the RL calendar. Otherwise it really sounds like an entertaining idea that has some great possibilities.

I agree with the other two. If you're less strict about the time frame, I'd like to join too.
