of a smart guy and his high school girlfriend, who cheats on him and gets pregnant at prom... then he leaves and when he returns to his hometown after succeeding in life, they meet again and fall in love again.
I remember some parts, like when he comes back he meets the girl's mother and repairs her washing machine or her car. .... (my memory is fragile, sorry).
or that he was out of town for the party, but arrived just in time to see the girl getting out of her date's car...
He breaks up with her and leaves town, he's successful, he's a bright boy and all that.

the title said something about "his girl" or "his girlfriend".

the mc was a smart guy, he doesn't make it to the dance because i don't remember if he was already studying or making money .... the thing is that he leaves for a while to continue working/studying and then when he comes back the girl already has the baby (she gets pregnant on that one occasion, when the mc doesn't make it to the party and she "lets herself go").

I think good idea and premise, not the best in execution as he just comes back and gets with her and forgives her, no making up for it, slow build up, conflict, etc

I like the story, besides being the first one I read on the site, yes it's simple... but I like the protagonist's bravery in accepting her back (and rejecting the femme fatale at work, once he got back together with his ex-girlfriend).

I've always believed that to accept something like that you have to be incredibly brave, the easy way out is to run away....


thanks a lot for finding her, when you come to Chile I'll buy you a completo (hotdog with avocado, tomato, homemade mayonnaise .... delicious!) and a terremoto (white wine, rum, pomegranate/granadine liqueur and pineapple ice cream) more than one and you'll leave speaking russian.
