Seeking editor for Halloween story contest entry...

Greetings,
Been a while since I have really been around, but I've finally finished a paranormal romance that I have been tinkering on for quite some time now. Would like to possibly enter it into the Halloween story contest, but I would appreciate an editor to look it over first. Just a little shy of 7k words, I'd like a fresh look at the flow, grammar, basic editing.

Just a little more info....

Basic story line is: Skeptic journalist visits a B&B trying to debunk a haunting claim, only to end up being claimed herself.

I think it's pretty much ready to post, but I would really appreciate another wordsmith to take a look, and give their opinion about how it reads.
