I'm looking for a story. I think all of the following details are correct but some might be wrong:
The story was on literotica. The main character owned a cat-like creature. Supposedly, the creatures were non-sentient (hence legal to own) but since the males of the species sold the females, some people were not sure if this was actually true. The creatures eat almost anything and will even eat the random dirt in the a dwelling, thus rendering it clean. They excrete alcohol. At some point in the story, an official person confuses it with a dog (or cat) and the owner does not correct them (since alcohol, and thus the creatures, would not have been permitted past the officials). The story takes place in space. The man finds out that there are no males of the species. Instead, the females are capable of turning other males into members of their species. This gives the males increased intelligence and other such benefits. The females are in fact intelligent.
