Ok, so this is kinda awkward for me to ask, but here goes...

I'm doing a project for school. We were assigned groups and given a specific kind of person to interview. Our group got given the task of interviewing an adult with a disability. I thought about it, and the whole thing was just really awkward for me. I felt weird talking to a stranger that I'd never met about their disability.

So, I thought about it some, and I had an idea. I thought I could ask for volunteers from here on Lit. There's a certain level of anonymity here, and I would not even use screen names or the name of the site (for obvious reasons). So if you have some kind of disability, which could include anything from the list below, and would like to help, please contact me either by PM and we can trade e-mails. Any help would be appreciated, and please, this is all voluntary and confidential. You don't have to share ANYTHING in public and what you tell me stays between you and me.

Here is the list of disabilities
Specific learning disability
Emotional disturbance
Mental Retardation
Multiple disabilities
Deaf-blindness
Autism
Other Health Impairments
Traumatic Brain Injury
Speech or language impairments
Hearing imairments
Visual impairments
Developmental Delays

There are 16 questions I would ask you, and you can totally look at them before you decide on whether or not you would want to go through with this.

Thank you all in advance. :)

*bump*

I'm still looking for people, but I also wanted to thank those of you who have already volunteered. It means a lot to me.

Right now I'm really looking for someone who got special services through the school due to their special need. Of course if you didn't and would still like to help you're more than welcome to. :)

Thanks again.

I don't have a disability myself, but I am the parent of a child with disabilities. I'm willing.

Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately that particular situation is being handled by another group. :( We specifically have to have an adult who has or has had a disability. Thank you again for offering though. :)

I'd have offered but mine isn't on the list.

Episodic Ataxia type 1- but I have to get worse before they will completely agree to that diagnosis.
