It's not what you think.

Kelly Hoggan has been reassigned. His annual bonus will probably be cut back to $80K. Rumor is that he's hired the same law firm that is representing Tom Brady, Dewey, Cheatum and Howe...

TSA is the quintessential government agency. Grossly mismanaged and inefficient, it's a black hole of taxpayer money unable to accomplish its intended mission.

What is their solution? More money.

Perfect.

Sorry Conservatives, Privatizing the TSA won't shorten the hellishly long lines.

The TSA says the delays have been caused by budget cuts that have left checkpoints understaffed while airports are busier than ever

So the Republican congress cuts the TSA budget and miles ben zonah squeals about mismanaged inefficient agencies.

Given that its intended mission is to stop anyone hijacking or blowing up aircraft flying out of US airports, I'd say it's been 100% successful in its mission.

Throb is a lover of Big Government.

He identifies with failure.

Sort of. A couple have gotten by them but the plan didn't work. Underwear guy, shoe guy. Might have been another one.

Read the mission. It includes the word "efficiently." By any measure they're failing miserably in that department.

More and more airports are telling them to go "piss off." Maybe the US voter should do likewise.

Somehow the government will impose their will and require airports to use the TSA.
They're no different from most federal agencies and will stop at nothing to preserve their bureaucracy.

22 out of 450 public airports.

Two major airports: San Francisco and Kansas City, one regional airport: Rochester NY and the rest are all podunk 1 or 2-gate towns (Jackson Hole, Wyoming for example).

Republican budget cuts have crippled staffing at airports.
In Chicago, there were 1,365 full-time TSA officers at O'Hare in 2015, down from 1,740 in 2005, according to the agency. At Midway, there were 331 full-time staffers last year, down from 10 years ago when there 471 officers.

Did you see that the head of the IRS gave Congress the finger?

Look for him to retire with a sweet benefit package for life for his service to the Democrat Party,

Throb and friends like the long lines...

:nods:

It hurts business people more disproportionately than the occasional liberal flyer who finally scrapes up enough welfare change to fly out to San Fransisco for a week of unconventional sex acts.
