. . . of a sweet, devoted wife's secret past AND present, and her evil intentions.
The stories Discovery by Johnson, and Confessions of an English Housewife" series are close. But I am thinking of a story as follows.
An almost "non-sexual" story. The sexuality would be in the betrayal, if you find that erotic.
A man married to a sweet, devoted yet very sexual woman is told by her that her experience is very limited, but of course, he discovers that it is not. This discovery is a pure chance thing that begins to get his curiousity up, and he begins to
PEEL THE ONION (good title?)
However . . . each of her confessions attempts to cover up a far worse fact about what she had done, or is doing. She lies about these when confronted, then finally admits to a "PG" rated version of her transgressions.
He discovers the NEXT thing, and the deception continues.
Finally, he finds out that at virtually no time in their relationship was she ever "innocent.'
Some possible revelations.
He discovers that
-- She earned money as an "escort" as a college girl
-- She had a coke habit for which she occasionally whored herself to feed.
-- She had stripped for a while, . . . and of course had some regulars who she did special favors for.
-- She did time in jail briefly for a con-game she and a lover had pulled.
-- She was a professional Dominatrix for years, . . but told our hero Husband that she never even heard of such a thing when he raised the topic.
-- She and a con-artist boyfriend had set up, ruined and bilked her ex-husband out of a small fortune. This ex-husband disappeared and our hero tries to find him, but there is no trace.
The husband goes from loving and trusting this woman to suspecting and fearing her. BUT, he can find no evidence of what she is "up to," today because she is expert at hiding it.
He might begin to doubt his own sanity as this truly loving woman keeps insisting "Your mistaken! It's not me! I would NEVER do that!"
