She had come to Hollywood to become an actress. And like 99% of those that came seeking fame in Neverland, Anna didn't find it. But something else found her. And now, stuck in a studio apartment in East Hollywood where she would often bring her job home with her...

It was early morning as Anna got home. Her entire body was sore from the night's previous events. Even though she only had two customers, one of them was extremely demanded and for the money he paid, who was she to refuse?

Although before coming home, she stopped and picked up some coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Walking into the complex she saw 'him' also getting home. She only knew his name as Max but for some reason, he didn't look like a Max. He looked more like a Matthew or James...not Max.

Anna had a suspicion he was a cop. He carried himself like her dad used to...although that didn't mean anything, he could just be another guy out there trying to make a living. Once in a while they would say hi, but that was it. But it never failed, Anna would always have a smile for him.

Matthew walked into his place and stretched all the way to the ceiling. His place wasn't great and he always hated the fact that he could lay his palms flat on the ceiling. Sure, he'd had so many chances to make a little evidence disappear to allow him to move into a new place. Each time he'd reminded himself that he didn't become a cop for the money. Hanging up his jacket, he slid his shoulder holsters off and hung them by the door.

He yawned and rubbed his head on his way to the bedroom as he recalled seeing Anna on his way in. She seemed to feel as worn out as he did. Then again, he'd just been sitting in a stakeout house all night. She looked like she'd run a marathon overnight with how she'd been walking. Maybe she was paying her rent in more creative ways. He rubbed his chin and shook his head; now wasn't the time to start thinking about that stuff. His bed was calling and he had a meeting tomorrow.

At about noon, Matthew woke up and cleaned up. Most everyone was in the building was awake at work, one of the reasons it was handy for keeping his cover low. Still, there was one person that was probably still home. After writing a quick note and putting it in an envelope, Matthew walked down to Anna's place and slid it and the $5 bucks in it under her door. He hoped she wouldn't mind the escalation in their relationship, but a note that says "Have lunch on me. -Max" should be innocuous enough.

Turning for the parking lot, Matthew headed for headquarters for his meeting with his boss regarding the on-going investigation into the drug trade. He'd been enlisted to help out since the prostitution cases had all slowed down or been dropped for lack of evidence. So his evenings were going to be spoken for over the next few months.
