Whatever your religion or lack of, I offer you a Seasonal challenge. I think that's the most tactful way of putting it, but if you disagree please say so!
Your poem can be any form, free verse included, from 8 to 30 words. Post your poems here and the author of the next challenge will be among the contributing poets, more than that I cannot say!
Make your poems happy and joyful or wistful and sad, poems of remembrance or hopes to come.
You have until 24th December midnight your time.
I'm writing this in the early hours of the morning so if I've missed anything I'll add it later.

Home for the Holidays

Home for the holidays, it’s always the same
Tim arrives Christmas morn, all together again
Dave tries to shame us, he travelled by train
fossil Lewis says fuck that, I came here by plane.
Sue covers her ears to shut out words profane
in truth just obscene, no one spoke God’s name.
Sarah starts a hymn but forgets the refrain,
then Nick launches in with an old joke so lame
that Hannah suggests a cooperative board game
but Barb nixes that, she needs victor’s acclaim.
Ian retreats to a Zen book, assumes astral plane
and Shane heads to gym to bulk up his frame.

Though snow t'is sodden with climate change rain,
our spirits are higher than puddings bright flame
and if o’er the New Year we all remain sane
we’ll gather round next year to do it again.

Applause!

I found it hard to get into the right mind set and this seems forced to me, but it'll have to do!
............
For a minute standing by the night time window,
turning away from the light and joyful scenes within
I watch the rain swept streets in the darkness below
my heart skims across the ocean, seeking only for him.
.
Turning away from the light and joyful scenes within
where family and friends gather around the yule tree
my heart skims across the ocean, seeking only for him
wondering if in that land of sun his thoughts turn to me.
.
Where family and friends gather around the yule tree
I watch the rain swept streets in the darkness below
wondering if in that land of sun his thoughts turn to me
after a minute standing by the night time window.

Jingle bells Lit...

Bouncing on me nightly
With her tits a-sway
Making me cum below
Starting another lay
Tits above me swing
Glistening in the light
What fun for her to ride
A cock for Christmas night.

Chorus:

Dangling tits, dangling tits,
Swinging in the way
O what fun she has to ride
Me at the end of each day
Dangling tits, dangling tits,
Swinging in the way
O what fun she has to ride
Me on Christmas day.
