It's not like he sent an unsolicited message to you. This is in my opinion a legitimate gripe on the boards; a thread gets started, people respond then - nothing. This just took that scenario up a notch.

Valid points, however just because you don't have to does not mean you shouldn't. It's a gripe both men and women have here - a PM is sent and then - crickets...

I'll agree if the message is abusive then not only should the message not be responded to but the writer blocked, and maybe a note to the mods.

Yes - and you could have either continued to ignore the poster or send a firm yet polite message back saying thank you but no. Instead it becomes public - and therefore something that can be commented on.
