One that entails mutual longing first of all, with everything else driven by that, and by common courtesy. Nowadays one would call it a “connection-plus” but years ago, it was close to the norm.
Except for one magic ingredient called chemistry. Which develops out of resonance - say with each other’s profiles and PMs. And this magic leads to generosity and that to mutual responsiveness.
Just think of it: when one prospective partner takes the initiative, the other one responds with a friendly gesture too, driven by the hope of finding a soulmate. Finally.
OK, no assurance exists for that, but some hope, inspired by the tone of a personal ad, or of a PM received. And then this generosity on both sides begins to unravel the chemistry I mentioned.
Tight-fisted people never reach that stage, i.e. people who guard every word they write. But when that hope I spoke of is in play, the generosity of one drives that of the other.
And now I hope for a woman to read my ad, who allows me to inspire her.
