Hi there
I'm searching for help. In the first place it's not so much actual editing than feedback for the creative process itself.
Thing is: I'm gonna try it and write a story in english. But to be perfectly honest: While I usually manage to get said what I want to say in the forums and when talking, I'm absolutely terrible in grammar and stuff (long out of school). And I'm also aware that there is a difference between communicating and writing a story.
I a perfect world I’d find somebody who also speaks german. That would make it a little bit easier to talk about the most complicated stuff. But I think it would also work with a patient editor who doesn’t speak my native language.
The story itself is placed in a military setting, but not stressing that. It’s only the setting for a pretty ordinary story about people meeting and finally having sex.
I’m pretty confident regarding the story itself. I (wisely?) chose something that actually happened as the base to work from. But of course any comments regarding the plot and stuff are welcome.
I’m absolutely not in a hurry but I just need somebody to talk to about style and stuff.
Oh… and I think the overall style will be kinda colloquial. Not (hopefully) stupidly so, but pretty casual.
I‘ll be glad to explain more to everybody interested and ‘show off’ what is written now.
And I’ll be very grateful (for whatever that may be worth).
