Searching for a story where the narrator/author directs the main character

I read a story quite some time ago where the narrator/author directed the main character in real time as the reader read the story. IIRC the MC was female, the narrator/author was male and it may have taken place in a ladies room. It was humorous and I really enjoyed the style.

Any ideas?
