I need to find a couple of posts that I made in a couple of VERY long threads.

In the past, I could search for myself as author, select a forum, and requst "results by posts". What I would see is a couple of lines from each post and every post, all 47 zillion in the thread.

This seems to be broke; I only get a list of threads I posted to. Once I open a very long thread, I have literaly hunderds of pages to serialy search for my posts.

What an I doing wrong?

How can I get a list where I can click on something and go directly to the middle of a thread where my post is?

The same thing has been happening to me. The only way I have found to break it down into posts is to click on the 'search for all posts by this user' section on your profile.

Good luck. :)

WOW

All i can say is get a bowl of popcorn - sounds like it's gonna be a long night!

Good luck!

I just did a search to find all the instances where I used a certain word - rhymes with a cousin of the chicken - and checked the radio button for "display as posts" and got them all.

And since I'm a fairly civil sort, there weren't very many to search through. :D

Search for yourself, then go into the thread and find one of your posts, then click on search (more posts by this author) and all of your posts come up with a short detail of each one.

Can't you just search by username and then change the search option further down to be search by post rather than thread, you then see a couple of lines for all of your posts.
