Whenever I do a search on a member using the button at the bottom of the post, all the "thread starter" fields show the member I searched for rather than the member who actually started the thread. It's getting kinda irritating.

Thats' because the thread starter is the person who started the thread . . .

hehe, first time that's happened to me. Cookies messed up, that was me.

And the Author, is the author of the post. The search under the name is the same as in the search screen, with the "Show as posts" option selected. If you go through the search page and use the defult ("Show results as threads") it will show the thread starters name, a different layout.

Sorry, It was my fault. I stole your cookies to get your attention

;)

I clicked on the "search" button under Juspars name and got a list of all of his posts...

*shrugs* who knows what is up with your computer.

I know what he's talking about...and he wasn't saying that he's not getting *all* of Juspar's posts...

...he's saying that all of Juspar's posts are showing up saying that he is the thread starter (which he isn't).

I've had the same problem.

Yes, that's what I get. But all of the "thread starters" appear as Juspar, not the person who actually started the thread.

If I was smart enough to save it as a .gif/.bmp/etc file...I'd show ya what he's lookin' at. lol

(Maybe it's different depending on the theme you use. I use the Ice Blue one.)

I use Ice Blue too - that could be it. Maybe it really means author when it says thread starter.

NO.. when you hit "search" under a persons name.. it searches for all of that persons posts.

NOT THE THREAD STARTER ITSELF

The "Author" column you see.. is the Author of that individual post.. NOT THE THREAD

If you want to do a Thread Search.. use the Search button at the top of the page. NOT the one under peoples names.

Hope that clears it up..

Where do you see "Thread Starter"? Mine is exactly like Juspars gif showed.. "Author".. NOT "Thread Starter"

Hit the search button, thenpress the [Print Screen] key. Go into MS Photo ed, or Paint (or other graphics app if you have it.) Paste as new image, then save it.

Author, of the post.

The views and replies are for the thread. ( I believe?)

You might want to try a search through the actual search funtion (top, right ;) ) if you want to see all that information.

I switched to Ice blue

it does say Thread Starter rather than Author

Let me see if I can post a pic

Try this

(colors are funky, but I can't see .bmp for some reason...and I wanted to be able to check it out after I posted ;) )

Okay, freakygurl's came out best. :D

Mine wasn't the best, but it was pretty good for doing it quickly.

:D Like my black circle and arrow? I'm such a show off ;)

It's 'hard wired' into the scheme I guess. Something for manu to look at no doubt. Good spotting Claud. Got to say, I hate that colour scheme though.

I noticed it a while back...but it didn't really bother me enough to complain. lol

(I'm easygoing like that.)

And the Ice Blue scheme rocks! :D

I love it!

All the others hurt my eyes...

I agree.. Ice Blue is hard on the eyes. I prefer my Gray/Dark Blue
