Search function has been completely disabled?

It was bad, but at least it worked a LITTLE bit. :(

Is it ever coming back?

I was able to do a search with a member name last night.

Ugh!, talk about thread reruns.

(Looks around for a Piano with 'irony' written on it to come crashing down)

;)

Chey,

If you get desperate and know who began a thread, go to the setting at the bottom of the GB and set them to all threads, from the beginning, in order of the thread starter. Click go and allow the page to load. Rather than hunt all through that mess, change the numbers at the end of the URL in your browser until you get to the person you are looking for.

You may already know this and it will not help if you are looking for words, etc....but it may assist someone.

Yeah, I tried to run a search a little bit ago and it came back disabled. Sucks, now I can't see how has posted to the threads I posted to. Darn it.

Bombadil. I always liked those in some way mysterious characters who know everything there is to know.

hehe... nice to meet ya! :)

Anyway, I was actually going to do a search on my own name. There are too many new threads to get through all of them tonight, so I try to at least not miss any posts directed to me. I don't want anyone to think I ignored something they posted to me just because I don't see it.

And, as Ree said, it also helps me to see what other people may have posted to threads I've already posted to.

That's certainly courteous. I just look at all my subscribed threads for updates in the user cp. If somebody's talking about me behind my back, that's their tough luck ;)

Interesting.
Were you around a couple nights ago, mm, really late at night, when some of my very old threads miraculously appeared from the mold and loam of thier burial plots on, like, page 762?

Hehe... speaking of "irony"...;)

*Handing MM a glass of water and slapping him on the back to get him to breathe again...*

Good question, MM... why dig up threads under unregistered instead of your regular name? They weren't nasty threads... right? Just old ones.

I was the one who bumped the threads that night, after Siren thought they were purged. After a mild chuckle at the thought that they must be gone because she couldnt find them, I thought I would bump a few up.

Cym (whom I respect) and I have had a disagreement about an issue in the past and I didnt want my actions to be misconstrued by her as some other motivation. To my eyes, it was funny to see a number of her threads bumped in quick succession. With the contentiousness of my actions at times, even ones I would consider harmless, I thought it best to go unregistered, so I did.

Some of the threads sank right back down, a few generated fresh discussion so it wasnt totally fruitless.

WTF?

I went to use the search function and was told that was disabled!
I was all "what the fuck, eh?"

I always use search, I fucking love search man...this is fucking bullshit right here

CHey,

I don't think any were nasty. I grabbed the first I saw and bumped those, what was inside I do not know. I did try to avoid titles that might be personal but didnt read each thread.

After my initial jolt of alarm, mm, at seeing them suddenly appear, i never thought the bumping was anything but an attempt to help Siren see that nothing is ever truly gone here at Lit. It didn't cross my mind to think that someone had it in for me and was going to prove it by haphazardly bumping a bunch of my old threads.

I was nonplussed that whomever it was wouldn't tell me, though, and couldn't understand why they would not. I understand it better, now, though.

And, finally, i have enough trouble keeping up with the threads i like and the people i adore. I can't possibly keep up with old online grievences, too. Here at Lit, "old" is anything further back than, oh, two weeks or so, don't you think?

Cym,

I dont want to come across as selling you short in your ability to move on but you must admit I have become embroiled in some festivites that were not expected, the Juicylips thread being the prime example...so I exercised discretion.

If I had known it bothered you to not know I would have spoken up but I thought it a non-issue.

Ah! But my post to you in the Juicylips thread was simply a tap on your shoulder, the lift of my eyebrow, and a small puzzled "why?" with regard to other issue, mm. It wasn't, i thought, provocative.

All i really wanted in response was a reassuring smile, some quiet acknowledgement that it was a thing of the past for you.

I don't hold grudges. I don't have room in my life or my heart for such things. The most i can do is try to remember to maintain a low profile around people who've hurt me in some way so as to be less of a target in the future. Even then, i forget who i'm supposed to be wary of as the days pass.

However, if you want me to hold a grudge, i suppose i could begin practicing this new-to-me ability on you...

To paraphrase daughter:
Peace, dude.

Cym,

I'm shocked...are you offering to be my domme? ;)

Its all good between us as far as I am concerned, but I was trying to explain myself. I never harbored any ill-will but I was fully aware taht some of my tactics regarding the issue could have led to certain feelings towards myself and sought to allow such.

Pour us each a snifter of Courvousier and I'll fix a late night snack.

Well, It makes me feel better to know that there wasn't an unreg
That new their way around the site better & quicker than everyone else.

I don't switch, mm. You'll have to go talk to Risia or Kitten about getting Domme service. I'm strictly a one-side-of-the fence kinda girl.

You do have sometimes impetuously abrasive tactics, mm. It's part of your charm. I'll be more aware of the fleeting and often impersonal nature of some of your remarks, too, should any come my way again. In any case, i'll certainly be more apt to beat you to death in pm's about what i don't like, should the need arise again.

Now... what kinda snacks have you made?
I'm never out of cognac.

I think Manu turned the search off when the site got slow to help with the speed. It should be back now. :)
