Search engine issues

I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with the search function on Lit. I have had friends do a search for my stories and sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. So I did a test and opened someone elses story and did a title search for it and it was nowhere to be found? It seems the search function is having issues.

The search function that I've seen broken for years is the "Author Index" searchfunction. Some authors (including JBJ in his last account name) didn't show up at all in the time I was still trying to use it. I use the "Search Members" function, which seems to be working OK. When I noted the "Author Index" search function didn't work (years ago), Laurel answered that there wasn't any function not working at Lit. and called me a troll.
