Does anyone here love seafood as much as I do? I think I could live on seafood and never blink an eye.

How I love a good ribeye steak, but if I had to choose I'd be eating seafood every day.

I cannot decide what seafood I like best. I love to eat fish, scallops, shellfish...

I just had some rainbow trout that I put on the smoker- I am partial to saltwater fish, but saltwater be-damned... the trout is hard to fucking beat. I should consider raising them- they are sweet and juicy. yummy yum yum yum.

I gotta go near New Orleans in two weeks to teach a seminar- they are gonna do a crab boil for us just like last year. Can't get enough.

Perfect evening: Smoke a good hooter, eat some seafood, and do some peter-dunking. It just doesn't get any better.

Well, the only thing better is doing all of that while watching the Seminoles kick Gatorass.

love it

but living in the midwest, fresh seafood is hard to find. love visiting the east coast and maine...........great seafood there.

UM, Scallops*Drooling*

That reminds me, I have Scallops in the fridge.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! I love fish, especially salmon, even smoked salmon and salmon roe! I also enjoy a nice filet of sole, or talapia...mild nice fish. On the days when I'm not having fish I have to have steak, so I can't say I'd give up meat for fish, but it is good.:p

hmmmm it's just a short drive to the docks to pick some fresh lobstas .... always go for the liveliest ones, they taste the best :p

Lobsta

They are good- unfortunately so many places that offer them do not know how to cook them.

yeah, I like lobsta.

Are u a yankee lobsta or a southern lobsta?

I like Lobster claws and legs, hate the tails

I like that batters fake fish which I call prechewed food.

oh yeah i love dulse and could live on it, pluss its good for my hypothyroidism

YANKEE !!! [/blue]

I do like Cajun style shrimp and blackened redfish, but coming from up north, I never learned to like seafood much.

Now I live on the coast and half the parties I attend serve seafood.

Sigh. I'd trade with some of y'all if possible.

Seafood isn't my favorite, but prepare it Cajun and I love it.

Are crawfish considered seafood??

blackened fish???? isn't that just a fancy way of saying, 'Honey, I burnt dinner again!'

It is a process involving extra high heat on a vented outdoor stove or in a restaurant--impossible to duplicate in your home--involves spicing too.

It is wonderful--but not a good choice on a date unless there are rings involved--your teeth look like you have eaten bugs.

Mudpuppies (crawfish, crayfish, crawdeads, etc) are considered sea food.

They are served in seafood restaurants anyway.

cioppino with lots of clams, scallops, mild fish, prawns,, etc. gotta have real saffron. serve it over rice with good garlic bread.

i make this for company.
yum.

~coming in to say hello from Lake Louise, Canada, mid-vacation - and oh! is it gorgeous here!~

What about Shrimp ?????

How about Shrimp? Speaking of shrimp Our family record for one person at the Sizzlers for most servings of the "All you can eat Shrimp" Dinner is 18. Yes, that's 18 order after the initial order. Shrip scampi, shrimp kabobs, You can broil 'em , bake 'em, saute 'em, shrimp salad etc.......Bubba from Forrest Gump (lmao)

kgboot

Dang it!!! I just ate pizza for dinner and now you have me wishing I had fish...

I agree with the first post...I would choose fish anyday over any other type of meat...although I can't say I care for lobster or oysters.

...back to pizza

If it swims I'll eat it. I'm on a big oystery kick right now, had a bunch down in New Orleans a few months again and now I'm hunting for good oysters constantly. Gimme three dozen oysters, half raw, half steamed, and a couple of pints of a really good pale ale, and just leave me alone. Leave me in blissful peace.

mmmmmmm

Growing up in Coastal New England, I love just about any fish/ seafood! Lobster is by far a favorite, followed by shrimp, haddock, scallops, etc! Got haddock in the fridge for tomorrow now that I think about it. Can't wait.

Not impossible (and I have an electric stove).

I take a pizza pan and put it on the burner and turn it on high. I leave it there until I can see a whitish glaze on it it. Then I slap the fish or meat on it.

Warning- It produces billowing smoke. If you have a smoke alarm, it will go off.

New Englanders

I do like the yankee fish. Cod is excellent! I bought some yesterday- haven't decided how I should cook it. Any suggestions?

My favorite way to cook white fish like cod or haddock is baked with buttered ritz cracker crumbs on top.. Good way to do scallops too!

The perfect blackening cookware is cast iron. I have my great grandmothers 9 inch cast iron skillet.....

I always de-activate the smoke detector before starting to heat the skillet. Clean-up is a breeze with the cast iron too (as long as the skillet has been properly seasoned).
