If one looked carefully at the mirriads of masts rising out behind the only marina in Little Orange, Florida, it was easy to make out the "Sea Nymph", docked among hundreds of other private yachts just like her. The vessel was beautiful. The paint on her sides, the sails, the rudder - everything on her was shining in the pleasant southern sun, fresh out of the shipyard. It was, indeed, new and preparing for its maiden voyage.
On deck, leaning against the shining chrome railings, stood an attractive man in his mid twenties. He was tall and well-built, his muscles looked tough, although unlike those you would see on actors or wrestlers, no, they were real-world tough, as though he used them every day for hard, important work. His skin was toned a beautiful shade of bronze, a mark of all the time he spent under the tropical sun. His hair, normally light brown, has been changed into a vibrant shade of blonde by the same tropical sun. His charming blue eyes searched the piers, having nothing better to do.
The man's name was Brian Gardos. Seeing him standing on deck like he did, you might take him for a crewman who labored on some rich man's yacht, or for the rich owner himself who took the pleasure of sailing his own vessel. Brian was neither. The yacht was his - well, the bank paid most of its cost, really - but he was not rich. While most people bought yachts for pleasure and blew large sums of money on this pastime, Brian sought to make himself a living sailing. After a few years serving as a crewman, he saved up enough money to put a downpayment on the "Sea Nymph" and figured he was going to charter the yacht to rich customers, sail them wherever they wanted to go, show them adventure on the high seas. People would pay good money for that, Brian figured, and since the "Sea Nymph" had room for multiple passengers, he could make a fair profit.
It has now been twenty four hours since he contacted the local paper and a couple of travel agencies, puting his offer on the table, and he expected customers to start calling any moment now. Brian tapped his cellphone impatiently and checked the signal strength for the third time in as many minutes. This first cruise could make or break his future, so it is understandable he was a bit anxious.
OOC: This is an open story, so just jump in as a passenger with an intro post, so long as the ship is docked. PM me with your character if you want to join as someone other than a passenger.
