Today is September 18. On this date in 1970 Jimi Hendrix died at the age of 27. If he was still alive today he would be 58!
Amidst all the madness that's been happening lately let us pause and reflect upon the passing of an American musical legend, who left this world so many years ago.
May his music always be with us.

What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
