Screw CHYOO

The site hasn't been updated in over two months.

They claim to want feedback, but the link for sending it hasn't worked since CHYOO 2 was implemented (and actually, I never got any response out of it back when it did work).

I have sent messages to the webmasters asking what's going on, to no avail (big surprise there).

I have reported several threads with underage characters (some of which describe them getting brutally raped), and have received no response. The offending threads are still there.

CHYOO has a long history of not giving a damn about what we contributors think, and never contacting us about anything. The only time I've ever heard from them was when they told me it wasn't necessary for me to be rude in order to get a response - forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but apparently it is.

Therefore, I have been channeling my writing energies into Literotica of late, creating straight fiction instead of interactive. I do not intend to post one single word to CHYOO until I have some assurance that the site is not about to go belly-up. I know this is hardly the team-player approach to things, but I am angry with CHYOO right now for treating us like dirt.

There are bound to be other Adult Interactive Fiction sites out there. When I find them, I'll let everyone over here know about it. Prepare for the Exodus!!

CHYOO just doesn't deserve our loyalty anymore.

I have to agree with your feelings. It is inconceivable to me why there is at least not some communication as to what the future of the site is, and what the plans are to continue the improvements. That would take only a few minutes, and cost nothing.

Let me know if you find any other sites that look interesting.

Well, they deleted my story for no reason, and it was like 6 levels deep! And no response.

It seems I've been silenced.

Shortly after I posted this rather unflattering message about CHYOO, I found myself unable to post anything else. I've also been unable to elicit any response from either CHYOO support or Literotica support when I write in and ask why.

Coincidence? I think not.

Anyway, if they shut this account down as well, I'll know for sure. What confuses me is that if this is a simple computer error, why aren't they contacting me? and if it's a deliberate shutdown of my account, why haven't they removed the offending message? Not that everything in it isn't 100% true...

Anyway, I'm still here, and I can still send and receive PM's under gystex if anyone wishes to contact me in that manner. If I must, I'll invent a new username and account, transfer editorship of all Gystex stories to it, and continue on as such without bringing up the name Gystex ever again in the hopes that it will get the webmasters to back off. I'd rather have my old account back up and working, if only to avoid the hassle, but that's in CHYOO's court. If they would just respond to any one of the half-dozen E-mails I've sent in the past two weeks, we could work this out, but until they do I can do nothing but sit and stew in my own juices.

For the time being, I'm not in the mood to contribute anything to either Literotica or CHYOO. I do hope they show some interest in opening up a dialogue soon, as I'll miss this creative outlet if they don't.

It's surprising, noticing the lack of effort in anything else, that they went to the trouble of cutting off gystex, especially since there was the usual lack of notice or concern to his other queries. Will this post mean the need for a kendahl2???

If they try to silence your right to free speech that would make them communist bastards and I can't believe that! But it is a pretty weird coincidence that your name would malfunction...

Free speech is pretty much what Lit is based on as the vast majority of people would find it offensive. They site management would be the biggest hypocrites in the world if they in fact are messing with you for what you said.

I have not received the slightest interest, negative or positive, on any attempt to contact the management of the site.

Hmmm, maybe you could start a Yahoo group or something.

I am back in business now thanks to the assistance of Ms. Laurel, one of two administrators of this Message Board. For the record:

I was not silenced by the powers that be.

The people who run this message board do not and will not shut down people's access simply for posting complaints.

I apologize to the webmasters for accusing them of such things.

My comments about CHYOO as a website still stand, but they do not apply to the Literotica Message Board. Although it took some time, I asked for help here and I got it.


Incidentally, the thing that shut me down was the Dial-up Accelerator that comes packaged with MSN 9. While I didn't notice any other problems with it, the fact that it prevented me from accessing this message board is reason enough for me not to recommend it.

I have no idea what's going on with CHYOO. I suspect that Laurel and Manu don't handle that.

Ohwell, Chyoo is slowly sinking, with a little attention the holes could be patched up and the boat could be repopulated. The Chyoo message board could be linked to the Chyoo website through the simple link that was never put in...

I think we all have suggested that at some point in time. I don't know if anybody actually sent a message to the moderators and asked them about it. But, in the forum there have been plenty of messages.
