screenwriting

Im not too stew if this is the right place to post this

I have a book that I have read many times over, it is by far my favourite book to read.

having done extensive research, I know that this hasn't been made into a TV movie, let alone a film.

I have no knowledge on this subject whatsoever, and I think it would make a great piece for the screen.
does any one have any screen writing experience?
