my family is has 'if we ignore it, it doesn't exist' down to an art.

The last two times Min and I have returned to UK from States, when we opened our luggage at home, first time I had a note in my case from USA Customs/Security telling me my case had been opened and searched (they put everything back extremely tidily), and the last time, Min had the note.

Guess who's suitcases housed our toys on each journey,??
