They must be training to be future EU "police." Those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Parents of more than 100 Danish scouts were outraged over a game of tag at a scout camp in which children acted as Jews wearing yellow Stars of David and tried to escape from adults pretending to be Nazis.

The group of about 160 scouts, aged 11-14, included a dozen teenagers from the Danish-speaking minority in northern Germany. The school yard was turned into a concentration camp with swastikas on the windows.

The local branch of the Danish Christian FDF scout organization organized the game last weekend at the Kongeaadal school, 260 kilometers (160 miles) southwest of Copenhagen.

Jes Imer of the local FDF chapter told the tabloid B.T. that they "may have crossed the line this time with a night game where Nazis chase Jews."

The school yard included a sign with the German words "Arbeit macht frei," or "Work will set you free," the infamous inscription over the entrance to the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.

None of those involved could be reached for further comment.

Shame it doesn't say what the purpose of the 'game' was.

Were they trying to 'build empathy with the jews and to better understand the horrors of the holocaust' or was it more sinister?

Shame no one was available to comment.

Them wacky Germans.

Who said they don't have the sense of humor.

My daughter's class is study all of this now - and they drew names to see who would be jews, who would not. They wear the stars and such - can't sit at lunch with people who aren't in their groups. Her best friend is not a jew and she is - it's driving her nuts to not sit at lunch with her. They are all studying it throughout the 8th grade - it would be neat to see I think.

She got so into it that this past weekend's movie rental choice of hers was Ann Frank - a two video set - she watched it about 3 times over the 5 days.

It can be educational - but we did have to sign something for her to participate in the program at school.

Sounds like that school should have notified parents first and gotten permission!
