Hi Everyone,

Apologies if there is a room like this kicking about (have not seen one) or if i have posted it in the wrong place.

Just thought would nice for people to pop in and say hi or even folk that just love us Scots (i know we are a good bunch ).

Anyway thanks for your time in reading this.

Everybody loves the Scots. We just can't understand a damn thing you are saying. ;):D:heart:

I have Scottish ancestry but im in England, but I go weak at the knees for a Scottish accent ;);););)

Usually it amounts to demands for whiskey and proper Irn-Bru. :D

I love Irn-Bru! Again. Can't pronounce it but I love it!

Same! Well except Scottish ancestry living in America. My friend jokes that it must be in the DNA and a call back. Whatever it is, damn I go all weak-kneed!

Its good to know that Irn Bru is universally enjoyed, good hangover cure aswell haha

I heard that! Although I don't know about universally enjoyed. I can't pronounce it and no one seems to know what I'm talking about when I say I'm looking for the orange, gjnger-y soda from Scotland. I find the best thing is to wait for a festival and buy a case or two of the stuff.

Accent

Ah, such a shame. You’d think people would be far more creative now, especially with that Outlander show coming to popularity.

But hey, adding voice samples to this thread might increase it’s views and favourable outcomes ;)

It does seem that Outlander is proving rather popular or maybe its the actors and accents haha

From a fellow Scot it is always good to see a thread celebrating both our little bit of the world and our completely broad range of accents! Here is hoping for more replies :)

I second this motion! All in favor?

Although I probably shouldn't. I wouldn't get anything done and just spend all day listening.

David Tennant's natural accent is already great, but when he hams it up as Scrooge McDuck ... yummy!
