Scion: Seeds of Glory OOC/Recruitment

So I've been thinking for a while about starting a Scion RP here. What I've got in mind is something that's about a 50-50 split for story and sex, maybe a tiny bit more story. It really depends on the group I get, lol.

All characters will have to be approved by me before any RP'ing gets done, so if you don't know if you've done things right, or have questions about it, you can send me a PM and I'll answer/give feedback.

People who already know Scion, and those who are looking over the wiki pages to find out what they want, here are a few ground rules.

1. The pantheons open for choice are: Aesir, Ametsukami, Aztalanti, Celestial Bureaucracy, Devas, Dodekatheon, Loa, Pesedjet, and the Tuatha de Dannan.

2. You'll be building a hero template. That means limited points, though I will start all characters off with 15 extra EXP. I won't be all fascist about it if you stretch a little, since it's not a regular tabletop RP, but this doesn't mean you can break the rules for character generation. If you do, expect to have to revise your character.

3. There are 6 spaces open. If you pitch me something totally great, I may consider opening a seventh. They are open to anyone who can put together a character.

4. This thread will involve group sex scenes. If you don't do that, tell me now and I'll try to keep your character out of it. There may also be some non-consent (possibly involving monsters). Again, if you don't do that, let me know and I'll try to keep your character out of it.

5. I'm the GM. I am the boss. I am the power of fate in the game. Please keep that in mind. If you can't deal with that as an idea . . . this isn't the thread for you. I'm a nice person, and I want this to be fun. I don't want to have to crack the whip and tell you that you absolutely, positively cannot do what you've decided is a great idea; doesn't mean I won't do it if I have to.

That's it. The story starts when I've got enough characters to start it. If we don't have a full group, we can start anyway and add more in later. So you have to ask yourself: Are you ready to be a hero?

Appearance: Evan is tall and strong, his body well defined and muscular. His hair is red-gold in color, kept at about chin length. His eyes are the deep, rich brown of well tended earth. He keeps his body hairless as part of his profession and is generously gifted in certain areas. Eric is extremely handsome, often called beautiful by women and men alike. He has so far not gotten into the tattoos and piercings so common in the scene, save for a tattoo of a Norse rune on his left shoulder.

Background: Evan is the oldest of seven children born to the Colburn family of Lake Knut, Minnesota. The townspeople muttered behind closed doors about how he didn't look like his siblings but he did have his father's eyes. The family were farmers for generations, owning a great deal of land and livestock. Evan grew up on the farm, living a bucolic, even ideal rural American life. He was a Boy Scout, a high school athlete, and was the lead in every high school play and musical.

In Evan's junior year, his father suddenly became ill. He'd been sick for longer than anyone knew however, the diagnosis was cancer and the outlook was grim. Over the next three years, Evan's father fought the disease with his family's help and support. The cancer went into remission after grueling chemotherapy and drug regimens, which his father remains on even now to prevent the disease re-appearing. The only thing more expensive than dying slowly in America, is almost dying slowly in America. Finances became worse and worse and the fate of the family and the farm was in jeopardy.

Trusting to his luck and skill, Evan headed west. He would become an actor and make enough money to send home to save the farm. That was the plan, anyway. While he was handsome, likable, and genuinely skilled, Evan quickly discovered that all of that didn't mean a damn when you didn't know anyone in show business. After months of auditioning and scraping by on scut jobs, he had almost given up.

Until he was approached by one of the casting agents of a film he'd auditioned for. The agent wasn't offering him a role in that film, but she had another film for him in mind provided he gave her a private, personal "audition." After a long night of sex, the agent told Evan she also did work for the pornographic film industry and she thought he'd do very well there. She offered him a part in several pornos she was working on casting for. She gave him a day to decide.

Evan was torn. The money from this work would be good. If he was successful, it could be great. But it was dangerous, dirty, and even if he did get the money...his family would be ashamed if they knew how he had come by it. That was when his whole life changed. The door to his dingy studio apartment opened and in walked a beautiful woman who had his red-gold hair and fine features.

The goddess Freya revealed to Evan that she was his true mother. She told him of the escape of the Titans and the need for the children of the gods to defend Midgard (as she called it) against the Titans and their spawn. Though it was unbelievable, impossible, Evan somehow knew her words were truer than any he'd heard before. She gave him a ring made from her own gold tears by dwarf smiths and a magical weapon that could not be taken away from him save by the loss of his own skin and flesh. Before she left, Evan agreed that he would fight this war but he also asked her advice. Should he give his body to save the farm? In answer, she told him the story of her golden necklace, Brisingamen.

The next day Evan began his career as a porn star under the name Marcus Wood (his middle name and the street he grew up on). His natural beauty and appeal, enhanced by the divine ichor and power now flowing through him, have made him a success. Evan has quickly become one of the hottest porn stars in the business, achieving a level of general renown outside porn that only the likes of Ron Jeremy have known.

Well done, Arm. That's more or less what I wanted (definitely more, lol), and he sounds like he'll be fun to mess around with.

Tymeless, can I make a suggestion for your character? If you feel like doing something Aztec-y, you might want to consider having Xipe Totec as your parent god. He's all about transformation (which I know is something you've got an interest in, ), and in the books, he's even got a pregenerated Scion who's basically a m-to-f transexual.

Of course, you can pick whatever you want. The Aztecs aren't a good fit for everyone - the way they're presented can put some people off them, and that's perfectly all right - but I thought Xipe Totec might interest you.

Hikaru is curvy but proportional. Her hair is naturally Jet black. Her eyes are hazel. She is well toned. She is generally considered the most attractive person in the room by both males and females. She has been told by some that people think of her even days after they first meet her. That is the kind of impression she leaves on others. Her face is attractive and is considered more attractive than most women without applying any make up. When she takes the time to dress up she is a sheer knockout.

Background: Born the daughter of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. She was afforded many benefits in her life. She was raised by her father but was somewhat aware that her mother was not her birth mother. She grew up an artistic child and with her father's considerable wealth and re-known, she was able to receive many scholarships to study abroad in America but she had to promise to pursue the academic as well as the artistic.

So here she was a young girl of 18 studying at the prestigious Miami University in Oxford Ohio exploring both her artistic talents and the wide variety of academics. She soon was majoring in Zoology and minoring in theater. She fast became friends with a girl in the schools drama club and they began to hang out. Overtime her feelings of friendship for the girl, Megan, grew to more than just friendship even though Megan showed no inclination to be with another girl.

During their summer break they both got parts in a play that was going to be held down in a poorer part of Mexico. The two girls looked at this as a way to not only practice their love of theater but also to help those less fortunate than themselves in a poor country. They also discovered that there were some ruins in the area from the former Aztec empire and this peaked both their interests and they both wanted to explore this.

As they were exploring the ruins a guide was with them and pointed out a nearly destroyed statue and there was a rumor that it was an idol to the god Xipe Totec and it was supposed to grant wishes to those that had a strong belief in such things. Hikaru moved towards the idol and began to wish for Megan to show the same interest in her as she felt towards Megan. Whether Hikaru truly believed in the supernatural or if she just wanted it badly enough she wouldn't know until later. Her wish was granted but not in the way she would of liked. Hikaru was transformed into a male version of herself and Megan was oblivious to the change. Megan was soon pulling herself close to the male version of Hikaru like they were a romantic item.

Hikaru was happy to have the girlfriend she desired but she soon found herself struggling to live up to being a male. She had no idea how to be one, and suddenly her father's expectations of her were completely different. Upon returning to school she also found that her courses had changed she was still a Zoology major but all her theater classes were gone. She was now minoring in international studies and it was clear that the world now expected her to become a doctor or a diplomat or politician of some kind.

In a night of emotional distress of losing the life that was dear to her Amaterasu her real mother appeared before the male Hikaru. She apologized to her child telling him that her rival Xipe Totec was the one that had transformed her. The god had transformed her out of spite as a rival to Amaterasu. She then revealed to her child that she was a god and that she was needed to help in the fight against the Titans. Amaterasu did her best to lift the curse of Xipe Totec and was able to reverse it to some degree but it was soon found that her form was now unstable and she would lose it whenever she slept. She did find she had some control over it but only once a day and it took a good deal of concentration to switch forms.

Her mother also gave her several pieces of Jewelry, earrings that gave off a soft glow in the right light and even seemed to glow at night, She also gave her another ring that she could place anywhere she was pierced. Finally she gave her a ring she had tricked Xipe Totec out of but wouldn't reveal how to her child that was supposed to grant her increased health. She then granted her a pet spectral tiger and access to some fairies to help her in her quest. Last but not least she told her child to continue to pursue her own desires that everything will fall into place...

Hikaru excited to be back to her old self went to see Megan and it was clear that their friendship was still intact but the relationship was gone. When she awoke as a male the next day it was devastating because not only was she male but Megan didn't remember him. Megan was attracted to the male Hikaru though and things eventually lead to a night of passion. There was an awkwardness when Hikaru awoke as her female though and as a result Hikaru had to explain everything to Megan.

It was soon discovered in this reality that only the female Hikaru existed so she had to spend much of her energy switching back to her female form to complete school. She was determined to finish school until her calling in life became clear.

Appearance: Nina is a small woman, curvy but not overly voluptuous, with tan skin, shoulder-length brown hair with a shock above her left ear that she generally keeps blonde, and startlingly pale blue eyes. She has a naturally friendly look to her, and her smile is radiant.

Background: Nina grew up in a small town in northern California, the only daughter of a pair of hippies who, she found out later in life after they died during a winter storm, had actually adopted her. She used the money from her inheritance to attend college, but always wondered who her birth parents were. Shy and softspoken, her love of animals spurred her to pursue a career in veterinary science; she found many of the classes to be intellectually too much for her but she always had a knack for making animals calm and trusting and always seemed to know just what to do to help them. Of course, she'd known for a long time that she could heal most wounds and illnesses by touching the afflicted, but knew also that these powers would attract too much attention. So she played off her magical skill as simply being a gifted vet student; her ability to make others trust her helped greatly in keeping her "cover."

Unfortunately, her inheritance has all but run out, and despite her skills, there's simply no scholarship money to help out. Nina is about to be forced to quit college, less than a year away from moving on to her post graduate studies, and the idea that she spent all her money for nothing has begun to depress her tremendously. As a result, she's been using her powers of mental manipulation to keep her tuition, something that makes her feel guilty less and less as the months go on...

Kenta grew up as an only child, which was actually probably a blessing given that he had enough trouble with his family situation as it was. Being an only child is fine, but when you only have one parent, that's another subject entirely. His mother ended up having to work two jobs just to be able to put food on the table so that he could go to school, and while he was at school, his family dynamic was the result of jokes that he was the butt of. Being bullied as the kid without a dad by some kids, being ignored by others, he had a bit of a rough life, but he didn't hate it.

He grew to reach out for any kind of attention that he could get, and in school was a bit of a prankster, getting the wrong kind of attention. It continued to his life outside of school and he got into a little bit of trouble with the law every once in a while, but they mostly recognized that he was the kid without a dad and was likely acting out as a result. He always ended up back at home with his mom.

Unfortunately, the beautiful, yet not exactly traditional family dynamic was not meant to be, and as Kenta found fame as a stunt person through youtube videos of him doing incredibly stupid things, his mother had still been working two jobs, and slowly becoming ill with sleep-deprivation. One day when she was driving home she got caught up in an accident. Kenta made it to the scene as soon as he heard about it, and arrived just in time to take a hold of his mother's hand and hear her last words, and with those last words she reminded him that she had always thought of him as his little gift from heaven.

Upon realizing that he had nothing left to tie him to the small French Canadian town which was always far too religious to accept a bastard child with open arms, he moved on down south, looking towards those places that he could live that would offer him a job that would let him defy death as well as authority, and also perhaps guide him to his no good deadbeat dad who had obviously walked out on his mom.

A few months into his adventure and he found himself being a stunt double on the set of a crappy movie about fast cars, loose women, and an undercover police officer who had to infiltrate the seedy underbelly of street racing. It wasn't anything special and while he was on the beach, kicking back one day while shooting was going on he was approached by a very peculiar man, the kind of peculiar man who could make anyone interested.

It was after talking to this man that he revealed himself to be his father. Impressed by the ability of Kenta to persevere after so much trouble and to turn the things that had made him an outcast in one community into something that made him a hero in another, he offered the boy, who had been through so much an opportunity to be something much, much more.

The necklace and the sash were things that were easy for Kenta to deal with, but the strangely attractive woman was something that he really wasn't sure what to make of...and he still isn't sure. He is still doing his work as a stunt double and knows that only hardcore movie goers will ever know his name, but perfectly fine with that. When he isn't working as a stunt double he can sometimes be seen being taking up a job as a bouncer.

Bio: Crystal is known to many as "That one girl who was lost in the woods for a year and wrote a book about it," and that is largely who she is. She was born to a goddess and a math teacher, that goddess did not want her but the ever chaste Artemis took an interest in her. When she was one her father had concocted a story about crystals mother dieing in a car accident. When Crystal was 2 her stepmother entered the picture, a lawyer of modest success. The three of them were quite happy. At age 8 she was camping with her family as she often enjoyed. However that particular night she could not get sleep and found herself staring up at the full moon. Then compelled by some unknown force she foolishly walked away from the camp site deep into the woods. There she came across a river and on the other side was a naked women she immediately knew as her mother. Artemis waved for her to cross the river and so Crystal tried to, but failed horribly getting carried miles down stream. She found herself uninjured but cold and lost. While confused Artemis stepped out of the forest and told Crystal who she was, and that Crystal must be strong for what is to come. With a years worth of effort she made it out of the forest and back home much to every ones surprise and joy. Much to crystals surprise her stepmother was starting to show the tell tale signs of pregnancy and Crystals brother David was born 7 months later. She finished school with some effort and wrote a book about her experiences living alone for a year at age 8. It was a hit. After high school she got a job as a park ranger with little effort. She is known her job for going out on foot with a canteen, knife, pencils and paper and coming back with a new survival story.

The bow is a 3-dot Relic weapon, granting effects identical to Night Eyes and Fire Immunity, as well as increasing its range by your Legendx5 yards. Stats are : Accuracy +1; Dmg +2L; Range 30 yds; Speed 5 (without bonuses from the relic part of it).
The arrows are just arrows, but the quiver is a 2-dot relic, meaning it will never empty - there will always be one more arrow inside of it, no matter how many shots are fired.

Either way I am just not happy with the knacks. I just found the knack page on your creation site so that may help. However I am thinking I might pick a different god and a different concept sense the all epic stats idea seems to work less well with the concept I have.

If you can't get a hold of one of the books your best option is to take up hookers offer to make you a character. That is my honest opinion. I tried to make my char from the info on the sight and struggled until I finished downloading the book and then I got much more done.

As for the character sheet, even if you get one you can't really post it here so your better off coping one of the above templates.
